Yep and he told some very influential ppl to take a seat on that hire to. There was some who DID not want lane. In the past, old Ad’s would have caved.

Keith shut down the good ole boys and "just wanna be competitive/just wanna have fun/just wanna be seen in the Grove" types and hired Lane. And then hired Beard. Neither of those hires would have happened without Keith "Byg Balz" Carter at the helm. He is my generation. He is sick of seeing that 2003 co-champs banner in VHS and is sick of half-assing it. And he, like most of us, knows that Ole Miss has the resources in the new NIL era to compete, and if we fall behind on the front end, then we will go straight back to where we were: fair to middling. He knows now is the time.

A friend of mine bought our tickets to that game and no wonder it was a deal.. it was in the Alabama section… but everyone was nice to us with some good natured shite talking… and the. After the game several of these fans approached us and congratulated us and said what a great game it was ( I’ll never forget that.. those people could’ve left being mad as hell like I would’ve done if the roles were reversed ) Then we went to someone’s house and I passed out for a few hours due to being mentally spent at the game

It was the first Ole Miss game I took my now wife too. I didn’t bother with tickets because I have never had problems picking up spares from friends.
