The Tulane ends were eating our tackles' lunch all day. Props to them for a well-played game.

The playcalling appears to be pretty similar to what it was at the end of last season. I am not sure if that is because we are not getting a push up front or we are being purposefully vanilla (or both, or neither). But, either way, that was a tough game and we have to be happy to escape Yulman with a win.

That 57 yarder was a bomb! It would've been good from 62 - 63, I believe. It's great to have a weapon kicking field goals.

Punting was another story. Two shanks (one of which curved back in, somehow) gave Tulane good field position in the second half. Just like last year, bad punting will cost us a game at some point if we don't get it better.

Maybe Trigg keep playing well now that it appears Harris will be out for a while.

Trigg definitely does need to step up now more than ever.
OLine gotta find something.
I don't care who has what stats if we win and that includes any RB, QB or WR. Never been a good idea to hitch our wagon to one person anyway.
I like what I saw out of the defense in the second half Saturday. Their backup QB seemed more than competent to me and they scored 3 points in what was a very big game for them.

Yes, their backup QB is good. He was very cool under pressure.

The defense played well, especially in the second half. Last year, that is a game that gets away from us, I believe. But maybe we have a little more resolve this season.

Keon Coleman is the big one. Probably could have gotten a few more offensive lineman

Coach Lane Kiffin was asked postgame about Harris' prognosis, and whether it felt like a long-term issue.

"It does not," Kiffin said.

What dogshit reporter asked the question like that? Bama and LSU game doesn’t fall under the “long term” timeline and that’s what we’re everyone is concerned with.

1) are you saying the only reason we didn’t get Keon Coleman is paying judkins? I find that hard to believe

2) Coleman wouldn’t have done diddly either on Saturday with Dart having less than 3 seconds per dropback. And you would be complaining about him being overpaid instead of judkins

The first drive with Harris says otherwise. We only had him that one drive and it took us 3 plays and 45 seconds to score.

And yes, we are overpaying Judkins. Running back has become one of the most replaceable positions in football. A solid QB, a decent o-line and good depth at receiver are far better than one running back

The first drive of a game is scripted and drilled ahead of time. You can’t extrapolate that to the rest of the game. And Harris =\= Coleman. Much more physical.

RB in college where there are 130 teams is not the same as RB in the NFL where there are 32 teams. Yeah you need an O line unless you have Barry Sanders, but Judkins was our most valuable player last year by far.

Definitely a problem which highlights how thin we are at WR. Does Ayden Williams step into this spot?

I suppose it can happen... well it obviously has, but in the age of the transfer portal and with a head coach who has a rep as being very offensive and fast paced minded, how did we end up painfully thin at WR? So much so that when just one recent transfer goes down we are all the sudden shot. Makes no damn sense. This combined with the fact that we apparently aren't going to be able to run the ball despite returning almost the entire OL and "the" back it sorta makes me wonder what the hell we've been doing for the last 7 months.

With Harris down and Z. Franklin sidelined for who knows how long it puts the WR room in a big time bind.

Was anyone else aware of the extent of the Franklin injury prior to a week before the season started? Seemed like it was late breaking. Has he even practiced?

How are we thin at receiver every single year and how has Kiffin not developed one WR he’s recruited out of high school?

I guess this is just all about injuries between our tight ends and wide receivers. Maybe it can't be helped. Sometimes I hate football.

Franklin could see limited time vs GA Tech. He’ll be back fully vs Bama. As for the Harris positron, sure they’ll use Ayden but they are 100% substituting trigg in that spot. He’s 100% going to play Harris until Harris gets back. All I know is, having Harris, Franklin, prieskorn, etc injured before our season even starts has the potential to destroy us before we ever really even get going. Prieskorn and Franklin will be back for bama according ti the coaches but man not having Harris for bama and lsu is going to hurt
