He was fat. He still might be, I don’t know. But he was fat when he played for us. Plus he had some mind numbing drops and fumbles.

He wasn't as fat as elite QB Jeremy Liggins

Bro he was such a letdown. I watched him DOMINATE the MS/AL game and was super high on him ever since… he broke my damn heart

For a guy as big as he was, he never, ever powered through on short yardage situations. While he would often pick up the first, he barely got it most of the time

I looked it up. The longest run of his career was 8 yards. He had eight runs on third down with 1 - 3 yards to go and picked up 7 first downs, but his longest run in that situation was 3 yards

So who else do we want in this HS class and how many HS players is CLK looking to sign.

I want the WR from Ridgeland bad (A. Williams right?) and maybe the 4* Safety commits to USC out of DFW. BUT Who else?

I thought Cooley was pretty good when he actually got the opportunity. Problem is he spent most of his career in Phil Longo's TE hating offense and then spent his last year with JRP as his QB.

At this point I would honestly be surprised to see the kid ever suit up for us. I hate it but I think David Johnson said that he's not even on the roster for fall camp because he is still rehabbing from his back issues. If we had wolfe and Trigg that would be insane

Kelly is a good TE. He may not have the physical gifts of Trigg but he understands the system and has a knack for getting open (ref the bowl game vs IU). Shame he had that off season knee injury before last year. When he came back he made a big difference and would have been in the talk for preseason accolades had he had a full season.

Sounds like the early star from fall camp is Quinshon Judkins.

Seems like every other RB on the roster has statements to reporters about how good he's going to be.

I think kelly is one of the most, if not the most, underrated players on the team. He's a very good blocker and serviceable in the pass game.

My hope for Quinshon Judkins is to be a Tank Bigsby caliber back. Now he may not have the stats given that Kiffin takes a RB by committee approach but he should be a beast

Pulling for him based on name alone. It's still hot as hell, but this is the time of year you can see the slight changes leading into fall. Light In August time. Faulkner knew what he was talking about.

I never understood the title. The book was my favorite of his though.

While at the University of Virginia in 1957, William Faulkner was asked if “the title of Light in August came from a colloquialism for the completion of pregnancy?” Faulkner said no, and then added, “in my country in August there’s a peculiar quality to light and that’s what that title means. It has in a sense nothing to do with the book at all, the story at all” (Faulkner in the University 74).

I always thought the title referred to that time in August when the sun sets a little earlier and its angle is a little more acute. A time when you can tell change is coming but it is not here yet.

Judkins runs like Snoop but with a bit more burst. I suspect he could be RB1 next year.
