If we get a 2 year bowl ban he doesn’t need a lawyer. Punishment will likely be released next week. Why all this coming out with a lawyer and a news story if you are going to be able to transfer without any sort of restrictions if you just wait one more week?

Pretty sure the tenor of the case has changed to where most people (even Ole Miss' media detractors) don't think the 2-year ban is coming.

Ok, what did I miss, and it sure wasn't first down Ole Miss?
Edit: Ok, I see now through the magical world of Google.

I'm not saying Freeze and co. didn't know what was going on, but at least publicly didn't the NCAA stuff change after Anderson was already here and they re-opened things? If he wanted to transfer and was going to voluntarily sit out a year, why didn't he just leave this year?

Not sure of the timelines. Good question for sure.

Let him go miss tackles for someone else.

Any more transfer rumors? Shea to Oklahoma? Little to Oklahoma?

Shea favorited a tweet about him going to Michigan (someone posted on spirit) so basically it’s a done deal he’s going there.

This move is to force the NCAA into giving Ole Miss
a two year bowl ban. The last thing the NCAA
wants are players transferring freely between schools . I would guess Deontay has realized he
is not good enough to play at the SEC level so
any pro dreams are finished already. My guess
is his family was approached by Mars.

It definitely seems shady AF that he's representing them.

Using the threat of a class action lawsuit to force the NCAA to issue a two year bowl ban.

Honestly, frick him for doing this. Sorry that you're not good enough to play in the SEC, much less on the shite defense that we have. Have fun playing for Kansas and completely squandering any chance you had at a decent college career.

When you can't even get on the field in this defense, that says more about you as a player than anything else .

I can get past him getting an attorney, wanting to leave and making that public and most anything else, but using this particular lawyer I cannot overlook. At the very least it speaks volumes about how little thought was put into their decision (unless that's the point) and how inconsiderate they were for a school that's given him an education to this point.

Think the only reason he lawyer up is cause he got no playing time as true freshman.. He though was all that and freeze thru it.. Now he is trying make worse on the whole school cause he did not get playing time.. We don't need him if he is that kinda person if you ask me..
Posted on 11/20/17 at 5:32 pm to Fireman17
He actually played a ton as a true freshman.
Posted on 11/20/17 at 5:53 pm to UMRealist
Why can’t we drop him from his scholarship right now for “conduct detrimental to program”? He’s a cancer in the locker room and was a waste of our money even when he did play.

Also- go to hell Deontay Anderson and Thomas Mars.

Does this mean the COI accepted only a 1-year ban?

Let’s sue Rivals for misleading us about Deontay’s ability
