Dline coach at Cal at 28yrs old, recruiter of the year in 2010. "SEC staffer" described him as a recruiting beast and the biggest reason for Bama 2016 class

How much shite do you think Lupoi talked about Ole Miss before Terrell Hall and his family boarded that flight ?

Once the flight took off, Yahoo Sports released their investigation article in the next 24 hours ? Do you think that's a coincidence ?

Do you think there is a coach or recruiter that we try to hire that hasn't talked shite about us to a recruit?

I don't. Not in a head-to-head recruiting battle.

If we hire a DC who hasn't talked shite about us, then we failed in our search and picked up a scrub.

“We’ve got a lot of young kids over there that I think have the potential to be good. We’ve got some good ones here that we redshirted. We’ve got to go recruit better and then we’ve got to do an exhaustive study on all of our staff and system.”

Not much of an article. His injury facts about both Fadol and Ingram are wrong, however, it is nice to at least have somebody outside the program acknowledge the amount of injuries we've had. By my count, we have 12 guys who were either starters or would have at least played a lot completely out Saturday and Wilkins out of course after that fiasco. Not to mention all the walking wounded on our offensive line that probably shouldn't have been playing. A village idiot on another board actually had the gall to say that those injuries meant nothing in Saturday's game against State. OK.

My ideal scenario is Jim Leavitt DC with Lupoi or Mcgriff Co-DC with recruiting focus.

Come on dude, we ain't getting Bud Foster. If he didn't leave after Frank Beamer left then he sure isn't leaving now.

Apparently Indiana is firing HC Kevin Wilson or he's stepping down or something for some kind of off the field issue, I hope this doesn't mean we try to scoop up Allen on the cheap.

I'd have to believe it's a strong possibility with the announcement and then you consider Freeze/Allen relationship. I feel like Indiana just hired our defensive coordinator.

If the boosters let Freeze hire Allen while there are much better options out there, I'll be pissed.

I'd be fine with Allen. As a position coach. But that's unlikely

Apparently Allen is a top candidate for the head job there now

There are reports that Allen will be offered the HC job at Indiana now. I dont see why everyone is against him, besides the "culture change" aspect but it may not matter.

Re: some of the names mentioned in this search

It's great to aim high and kick the tires on some big names, but with our situation we'll probably only get someone looking for a promotion (DC at a small school or position coach at a power 5).

I don't have anything against Allen other than this program desperately needs new blood. I'm not as down on Freeze as some, but he needs some new ideas and perspective around him
