I know the grass is always greener, but quite honestly it's gonna be hard to do much worse.

Jim Leavitt, Tosh Lupoi, Charlie strong, hell throw the bank and bring Wesley mcgriff back. Tom Allen is a good coach but he's part of the reason we suck so bad at LB because of recruiting whiffs when he was coaching linebackers, not that our LB recruiting has improved any since he left.

I agree with getting crime dawg back. He was the energy we are missing

Wouldn't surprise me, and then give some bullshite reasoning for it like "he's here for the long haul."

We have no competent coaches. Mullen can take a bunch of two and three stars and turn them into solid football players whereas the players in our great recruiting classes look like a bunch of blind kids trying to play tag.

Mullen sucks. They suck. Need to go get leavitt

quote:Are you talking about the same Mullen and State team that lost to South Alabama and BYU, nearly lost to UMass, scored 3 points on Bama, got smoked by Arkansas and never beat a Les Myles coached team? If you are, I'll skip the Mullen and State approach and look into fixing our mess a different way. Remember, this State team was not trending upwards, was in no way good, but all seems fixed with them tonight thanks to us. Tonight was way more us, and much less them.

Let me also add, that yeah, the State QB is a really good runner and we helped make him all world tonight. The common denominator in the career nights for several players this year was Ole Miss. We can't stop any team that can run the ball, needless to say. When State comes back down to earth next year, if their QB can't throw it some he'll get smoked by a couple of backers and either won't be nearly as willing to stick his nose in there play after play or he'll wind up hurt on the sidelines for a few games. Good defensive teams will force him to be far more balanced.

Corey Batoon to DC.

Absolutely, this state team was garbage. What I'm saying is that since Mullen has been there, State seems to be able to do more with less, and get production out of players that were not as touted coming out of high school. We don't seem to develop talent well.

Mullen beat LSU in 2014.

State will finish at the bottom of the sec for years to come. Their results the past couple years begin and end with dak. Only question in the Sec west is if we will be joining them. Quit pumping Mullen up. He wants out

They have been complaining on their board all year also of not getting the best out of their players also. They are on the same level as us, with a lot less talent

I'm glad someone agrees with me on Allen.
Jim Leavitt is realistic considering if we pay him the same as we paid Wommack it's a 250k raise.

Richie Brown, Jamal Peters, Leo Lewis were not 2 stars. Mullen doesn't land the big name guys but he recruits his system well.
Meanwhile this staff lands big time guys but has no earthly idea how to recruit the mortar guys it takes to sustain a program.
