We could do a lot worse than DJ Eliot. Be careful what you wish for because we could actually hire someone who is just good enough to save Matt Luke’s job.

It’s so sad that thought went through our heads.

So it’s sounding like no matter what we pay people they don’t want to work for Luke.

I think even if we make a dud hire at DC the administration will pump how hard they fight to get he best guys in here to coach.

So basically the same thing Coach O did. We were in Joe McKnights top 3!! Look at all these guys that almost came here!!

3 years?

How much money are we paying him/flushing down the toilet?

My crystal ball says that he will be our next interim head coach, will win an Egg Bowl, and then he will be hired as our next full-time head coach.

I'm sure it's all guaranteed, too.

What a massive joke we are.

I'll give them credit. They went out and got who they wanted and didn't let money get in the way

There was no doing right by some of our fans outside of firing Luke and starting completely from scratch. The above comments clearly prove that. All I’ve heard all year is “it’s not all about no talent. We could have a decent defense if our players were in better position.” So now maybe we have somebody that can get them there and there’s still no hope? What am I missing???

I still think it’s mostly on the players. It’s a step in the right direction I guess though. At least we know they’ll be well coached. Hopefully he can recruit wel too. Tho I don’t expect him to be in oxford long.

Luke should not have been hired in the first place, and keeping him around longer only causes things to get worse, no matter who they put around him.

We have no talent on D, so this isn't going to make that big of a difference. I predict us from going nearly dead last in the nation on D to around 80th.

And we still won't be able to score in the red zone. Maybe Longo can draw up 20 more plays to use next year to add to his stable of "get-open" backyard plays.

I think the best we can hope for is new AD, new AD gives Luke one year before firing everyone. Mac will be the interim, as someone said.

We need to let longo go within the next few weeks before all the coordinators are hired. No more playing nice guy.

This DC move still isn’t making me reconsider renewing season tickets.. it’s a much needed change but not nearly enough for me
