USC is going to hire Kingsbury. There goes a possible big name OC hire.

Isn't this the time we hear about a coaching change? Usually it's the week after the last game. Open this job to the public and see whose interested.

Madison Central’s OC would be the perfect fit. Can not teach a QB to go through a progression, throw spiral and only knows how to call 3 to 5 rushing plays. He’d be an upgrade over what we had this year with the best OL we have had in years and 3 potential 1st Rd draft picks on offense.

Take this for whatever it's worth but there are some good names on this list. Of course the bar was set beyond low so at this point almost anyone is a major upgrade.

Knowing Ole Miss however we will take the last person on the list because we're just that stupid.

I’m really not even sure that I want a competent candidate. Let’s sink the ship.

What I would like in a DC is:

- Someone that shows a heartbeat on defense so that our next coach has more to work with
- Someone that is cheap because now we have to pay another buyout

Lol as of this morning:

-Golding isn’t coming. He hasn’t said no, but obviously Bjork and co haven’t given him the money needed to come.

-Mike M hasn’t said yes and wants to be a HC. Freeze won the Liberty job over him, so we will be his fall back if he can’t get a HC gig.

-Matt Luke claims to have “several other” candidates if Mike says no or takes another job.

If we aren’t committed to give Matt the coaches he needs around him to be successful why the hell are we keeping him?

Sounds about like what I would think

Ross says any position moves, money won’t be an issue yet appears to be an issue .

Shocking... not...

First, we need to find coaches that actually want to be around Luke and the program. I think Golding and McIntyre are giving excuses.

Money can buy anything, but the amount of money it will take to overcome Golding's and McIntyre's reluctance to be tied to the current program, with the probability that their reputation and ability to be hired elsewhere in a year will be greatly tarnished because we are going 2-10 next year, with no talent on defense and very little talent left on offense, and will be firing Luke, is probably insane.

Holy run-on sentence, Batman.

I have not seen any logic applied by Ross Bjork so to assume that he would even fire Luke if he goes winless next season is a big assumption.

True. I was presuming common sense where there probably is none.

I've seen the type of contracts Bjork hands out. I have no doubt that he offered a pretty sweet deal to Golding, so if we miss out on him I'm sure its definitely not because we didnt offer enough

Can we just skip the theatrics and hire Pete Golding as the head coach?
