About what? Lane? Our boosters were lied to and a few of them would probably hit him if given the chance.

Ouch. That one's going to leave a mark. Yeah, so much for that image he tried to rebuild.

I can’t believe he didn’t hire a PR firm through this process

I can believe Lane did not. It would never cross a sociopathic narcissists mind to do something like that. I can't believe that Sexton did not.

But there was that one article in the NY Times that called the schedule the "villain," not Lane (despite the fact that villains can't be inanimate objects), that was cop-out culture at it's finest. The same people blame the gun and not the criminal and fail to take into account that 100% of all colleges and coaches engaging in college football face there same circumstance regarding the schedule.

Oh, his PR is handled by CAA (Sexton). They have definitely been pushing their little bullshite pieces out there but it's getting drowned out by the bad press. It isn't working.

Borkey has said more than once that Lane is actually surprised at how the press is taking Ole Miss' side in all of this. He thought it would be different. There were simply too many people waiting on the "Same old Lane" to resurface one day and they are unleashing it on him now that it has.

It'll get even worse for Lane if:
1. If we lose the Egg Bowl, the blame will 100% be put on Kiffin for the distractions.
2. If we win the Egg Bowl and Lane bolts, he'll get crucified for quitting on a playoff team for seemingly "greener pastures" and being the "same old Lane Kiffin".

Lane is in a spot where his reputation is damaged, no matter what happens, at this point. If he stays, it won't be as bad, but if he leaves, then it'll take a bunch more ESPN documentaries and a decade before he "might" be able to recover his image. By that time, he'll be 60 years old and be in the twilight of his career.

I hope all this free press allows us to at a minimum maintain the territory we’ve already claimed as a program.

I’m sure he’ll still be trying to bag twenty year old co Eds while at the same time calling the players on his roster “kids”

I’d love to truly be a fly on the wall of the lockeroom

I wanna know what the mood is or if it’s awkward when Kiffin talks to the team

The urge Lane Kiffin can’t give into at Ole Miss
Paul Finebaum said it was “terribly unfair” for ESPN colleague Stephen A. Smith to make the debate surrounding Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin’s future “racial” by insinuating that black players don’t want to go to Oxford, Miss.

Smith took that stance on Wednesday’s episode of “First Take” during a discussion with Finebaum, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo and host Shae Cornette about whether Kiffin should take one of the coaching vacancies in the SEC, Florida or LSU.

“Let’s get this out of the way. Now listen ladies and gentlemen, I’m gonna say it. Y’all can’t say it. Don’t you dare say it, Paul. Don’t you dare say it, Doggie. Don’t you say it, Shae. Leave it to me. I’ll say it. The brothers ain’t trying to come to Oxford, Miss. for the most part, compared to Gainesville or Baton Rouge, La. Let’s just call it what it is, OK?” Smith began.

“You look at the job that Lane Kiffin has done at Ole Miss, it’s phenomenal. The man has won 74 percent of his games over the last six years. Ole Miss, they’re in the picture. They can win a national championship. Lane Kiffin, his personality, his cachet, it ain’t Nick Saban he’s got to worry about. He’s got the potential to be another Nick Saban, but it ain’t gonna happen at Ole Miss. Not for years down the road to come. No, no, no, no, no, no. But Gainesville, at the University of Florida? But Baton Rouge, Death Valley, LSU? That’s a different animal.

Stephen A Smith proved how stupid and out of touch with college football he is when he went on that rant last week

Stephen A. Smith is a racist a-hole, and has always inserted race into every topic imaginable. How he remains employed is bewildering.

yeah our recruiting for the last 25+ years has been 95% of one race and it definitely isn't the race of “brothers”

Everyone knows what sas is, but you can’t say it on here or you’ll get banned. That racist mf is one of the worst people at espn. and that’s saying something considering the people they employ

You should hear Rogan talk about this idiot Steven A acting like he knew more about MMA than he did. When he’s pressed for details he’s got nothing.

Those are the same folks that probably cheered on Matt Luke getting hired. Coincidentally, they're also the "You in front, sit down I can't see" people.

I was unable to renew my season tickets this year due to my daughter's soccer schedule. However, there was a guy that always sat near me. He started bringing his wife with him last season. She would turn around and tell me to be quiet to the point where she was yelling at me. I kept telling her, "Lady, you're at a football game. I paid for these seats and I am going to support my team." There was an exchange one day that I am not proud of when she pushed me a little too far. Why do those kinds of people go to a football game?
