Kiffins about to go to this offensive juggernaut at lsu that can’t do anything against WKU . It’s embarrassing .

At this point, $30 mil in NIL might not be enough to rebuild a roster that is losing to WKU.
$4 mil for a QB, $5 mil for O Line. $10 mil for RB/WR. And you haven’t even gotten to defense.

There is only a 0.01% chance of this happening, but if tonight’s shite show leads Kiffin to demanding more NIL and LSU balking I will laugh my head off.

Death Valley, where coaches go to die

Both Death Valley and The Swamp where coaches go end their careers and not in a good way

I will say this. At least Florida and Auburn fans show up for their games. LSU fans are fairweather as frick.

The NIL is really just a lie. They cannot offer a significant amount over the rest of the teams.
There is rev-share, which will be same across SEC schools. The schools can decide what sports get the money, but LSUs number is basically sending it all to football.
NIL is getting locked down with clearinghouse, they are not going to roll out another $15 million in NIL, none of us are.

I saw quite a few empty bleachers at the TX-ARK game. Maybe LK will mention that during his next post-game presser.

This is correct. I think that may be why he wants to jump. He thinks it will be back to who has the big stadiums. It's why we need to expand VH and keep filling it up.
I wouldn't be surprised if Carter threw in a stadium expansion to the deal. If he didn't, that was a mistake.

Isn’t the limit $700? We have a ton of people who give like $50-$100 month.
Could see a school creating like 20,000 shell companies to funnel into NIL too.
And what are the requirements for the clearinghouse? Would realtree be considered a legit provider of NIL? Could just funnel everything through their entity.

There are many other coaches that are being looked at for jobs this year.
LSU & Florida both “all in” on Lane, so this situation is different. Lane is clearly the prize of this cycle.

Only Lane has attracted this circus.
This is accurate. Lane has attracted the circus, but he has not been the cause. He’s maintained he won’t discuss until after the season and apparently we will get an answer the day after the egg bowl. The circus was always a part of the deal when hiring Lane.

And from all accounts, the money and commitment are equal.
Right. But the money & commitments continue to increase. Why wouldn’t Lane (and Sexton) continue to allow the money & commitments to increase? This benefits the coach (and agent) and the team. Lane is leveraging his position to ensure the resulting outcome is maximizing resources to utilize for the betterment of the team. This is exactly what you should want a head coach to do. If Lane had signed the first offer, would the collective have still committed the same dollars or has the drawn out negotiations increased commitments?

Don’t allow the propaganda from his representation to fool you into thinking otherwise.
My thinking is that those of us who’ve bought into “if he’s staying he would’ve signed the extension” are the ones who’ve bought into the propaganda

There is no reason for us to give him a long term deal
This is the best stretch of Ole Miss football during my lifetime and most of our lifetimes. We have plenty of reason to have waited a couple of weeks + 1 more.

They’re all in because he’s willing to leave. If you think LSU and Florida didn’t call Lanning or Freeman to kick the tires, you’re lying to yourself. But instead of jumping headfirst into talking with other schools as to what they’ll offer HIM (as always, the focus is on him, not team or program), they went and talked to their ADs like men and handled their shite behind closed doors.

Every leak and article is carefully crafted by Lane and his team. You don’t question why Chris Low and Dellenger are the ones who always happen to know what’s going on in Lane’s world?

Knox posted a picture of himself in LSU headphones the day of his father’s big meeting with Ole Miss. Come on.

Correct. But how many can you point to that whine about attendance against the Citadel 30 minutes after winning the 10th game of the season in an objectively great atmosphere for an SEC game against a 3-7 team?

Because it isn’t for the betterment of the team. It’s for the betterment of him. He and his team are leaking the offers instead of having a good faith conversation with an Athletic Department that has absolutely given him everything he’s ever wanted. I’m not in to being humiliated for negotiation leverage.

I could easily be wrong. But he’s done some serious damage to his relationships with movers and shakers within our program, not just due to this, but due to Auburn in 2022. This isn’t how you do things in good faith.
What line is there to hold? This is a message board. I give $23 a month to the collective. I ain’t big money. My line to hold ended after the Florida game as my obligation for attendance ended. Now’s the time for HIM to show up. I’m just telling you this guy is an a-hole.
