FFS

We didn't even get off the plane yesterday. Wonder if our team will wake up.

Hopefully the viral Arkansas tweet offended the team.

Forget 3 true outcomes, we are the 2 true outcome team. Either a HR or a strikeout. The margin for us between 2 runs and 9 is like 2 swings on any given day

Too many wasted opportunities earlier in the game but sometimes you just get beat. I don’t blame Hooks for sure.

Maybe Bianco shouldn't have left Hooks in the 9th inning yesterday when we were up by 7 runs. Wasted pitches thrown then that we could have used today.

Another head scratcher. Why bring in your closer when you're blowing them out? And then bring him in to try to finish the last 3 innings of the next game with a 1 run lead. That's asking too much of a guy who should face no more than 5 or 6 batters every other day.

That was a bad pitching decision on Saturday for sure. This team has to learn to hit with 2 outs and RISP or they won't get out of a Regional. 4 runs yesterday. Again all via the long ball. Walking a lot and hitting HRs is great but we have to start putting together quality ABs with 2 outs that produce base knocks and score runs. Every team that lives and dies by the HR misses Omaha just like teams that live and die by the 3 pointer don't make the Final 4.

Anyone want to take a bet on how many runs Elliott gives up tonight? I'm gonna go with 1.

Elliott has been an issue the past few weeks. The bigger problem has been Bissetta. I think he's hitting under .200 in SEC play now.

Wee be up like 8-0 right now if we just stopped hitting into double plays every single inning.

^^^ So poor. I was just about to say it should be like 5-0. When and if we lose this we can certainly look back to these first three innings. Not surprised.

If we lose tonight this innings 1-3 where we couldn't get a clutch hit will be the talking point.

Bissetta

We can't get everyone playing well at the same time. Federico has come on but Bisetta has been horrible.

Townsend has pitched amazing and Elliott can't throw stikes.

One way to look at it is that we're really close to putting it all together. Or you could easily come to the conclusion that we're just not very good. Which is probably fair.

Man I would have liked to see us keep pitching Calhoun tonight with a 3 run lead. Hope this decision by Bianco doesn't come back to bite us like last weekend.
