Looks on the bright side. We won't have a choice but to fire Bianco next year once we go 12-18 in the SEC and flame out as a 3 seed in someone's regional. Our pitching will be the worst it's ever been.

For the next ~30 minutes we’re the only university in the state with a national championship. Live it up boys. We’ll never hear the end of this win (I don’t blame them) and it will be absolutely insufferable

NC State is the champion in my opinion. State has Covid to thank for winning this year. If Covid doesn't happen, Tanner Allen and Rowdey Jordan are not bulldogs this year. If Covid doesn't happen, we have a good chance at winning a baseball title before them.

Their fans will never see it that way, but like it or not this title does have an asterisk next to it. Not near as big as a Vandy win would have, but NC State was arguably the hottest team in the country. Would’ve loved to seen that matchup

Vanderbilt is the worst team that I've ever seen in the CWS. They have 2 good players and that's it. They have no offense and their defense is atrocious. Vanderbilt looked like a team that did not belong. It's a shame that NC State was robbed of a chance to play.

Ah state would have beat nc state. They were a damn good team and always came up with the his or pitching they needed. Arkansas was the best team this year, they just choked

They had a hell of a team. It’s been difficult having all my state friends call me/post on snap about how great it feels. Mbn to have a program that wants to win

I don't think they were the best team this year. They just got hot at the right time.
Unbelievable that they won a natty with basically 1 starting pitcher. Imagine if we had the bullpen that they had this year.

Yea that’s the thing. I feel like everyone on the pitching staff was below a 5 era. While we had like 2 below a 5.

State is to be commended (not that I will be doing it) for beating who was in front of them. That said, COVID definitely allowed their path to a title to be what can only be described as the perfect storm. For starters, Jordan and Allen would not have been on that team and without them, they don't win it. Period. Secondly, the whole NC State thing took out certainly the hottest team and possibly the best team (see beating Arkansas at Arkansas). Thirdly, Arkansas choked. If they make it to Omaha they are favored and probably don't get COVID considering all the Arkansas bacteria and viruses they are already immune to. And lastly, since I'm an Ole Miss homer and make no bones about it, OM's injuries this year crippled us. Had we been better it's possible we could have taken State out of the equation at some point along the way. The stars aligned and State got it done and Vandy was leaking oil and put up little resistance. They were down right comical the last two games. I'm glad it's over.
