Any Karens started saying "pulling for State because it's good for Mississippi!"

I'll never understand how people that call themselves fans of a school will say they're pulling for their rival to win a national championship. I remember hearing this BS the last time State went to the CWS final and during the 2014 football season. It's nauseating

I’m not pulling for them to win (only in the double reverse jinx magic sense) but from an opportunity standpoint both ole miss and state have the resources and talent to be top 8 programs on a yearly basis. It sucks that they are where they are but I think we both can and should be there at the same level. We don’t need them to fail in order for us to be successful.

We don't need them to fail for us to be successful, but it might not hurt. I'll never root for them. Never, ever. Not in anything.

Comparing us to State is difficult because it’s like comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah don’t get mad at them for being successful. Get mad at our administrators for allowing us to be average. Much more productive.

I get more angry at fans who are just ok with being average. The "we will never be Bama or LSU" jackasses make me want to not be an Ole Miss fan. All those people care about is having an excuse to go to The Grove or go to a baseball game on Sunday afternoon

If you multiplied Cal Berkeley's wokeness by 1,000 and then had Michelle Obama as their football coach, I would still root for them over State.

I'm not pulling for State to win, but it would probably be a damn good wake up call to our athletic department if they did. We just extended a coach who's been to Omaha once in twenty-one years, whereas State just won a CWS with a coach in his second full season. That would make KC look pretty dumb for extending Bianco, IMO, especially considering the LSU coaching search debacle.
Maybe all of that shortens Bianco's leash and gets him fired if we don't make the CWS next year

yeah I'm not exactly pulling for them to win but I'm also not rooting for them to lose.
It would be good for the state to get some more good news nationally and I don't really approach baseball with the same mentality as football.

I was pulling for State last night. My brother loves college baseball and he’s planning a trip to Omaha to see them in the final now. I’m really happy for him. Ole Miss fricking sucks at sports. Our biggest accomplishment is being a founding member of the SEC. Once you have that moment of clarity I had years ago your mind will be set free. I’ve lived in Tennessee for almost 15 years now so pulling for Vandy in the final.
