I completely agree. Both fanbases are probably going to be very happy with their off season and the hires. Lane is a monumental upgrade over Kelly and Golding could be an excellent coach that loves being at Ole Miss more than Lane ever did-even though I think he did very much love his time there.
Been on a social media detox but kept Twitter… I think I’m going to log off that for a good minute. Some of my algorithm I really enjoy and find useful, but the sports end is complete rot. I’ve especially seen the trash on both sides of the rivalry go way out of line. Need a break.

I deleted my Twitter account because it’s just nothing but bad faith takes all over the site, regardless of team/fandom. Honestly, I hate our Twitter sphere more than anyone else’s, but that’s likely due to the algorithm itself. I also find that most of the burner accounts are run by overly emotional teenagers.
I also don’t give a shite if someone loves Oxford/Ole Miss, whatever. I think it was a mistake for Lane to put out those touchy feely quotes to win PR points as it made him leaving that much more toxic because it seemed like he lied to our more sensitive fans. Even when we all knew he wouldn’t stay forever if we’re being realistic. He wants the prestige. We ain’t got that.
Pete seems to be more straight forward and is just a football dude. We’ll see if it translates to keeping the program rolling, but I am happy with where we stand all things considered.

Lane is fricking ridiculous with social media, but as a fan of a school who has gone against him for years I’m conditioned to the slop he cranks out. However, I admit he can be hilarious at times.
If you ask me, I’m hopefully for 5-7 really fun years and then he’ll probably leave us for the NFL. Inside guys seem to think he’d only leave for an NFL gig at this point but I’m aware he’s traditionally coached with his bags packed.
I wish the ole miss burner verse would chill because I think it’s the funniest burner base in the game. Lately it’s just been a lot of animosity and seeing red

Been off twitter since Musk took over. Honestly, one of the best decisions I ever made. Have not missed it at all. You won’t regret it (or even miss it).
