Yup, the Stuttgart/Hazen area is where the freeze typically ends therefore the birds usually land & feed in the area. Have you seen the Claypool Reservoir Picture?

I'm good family friends with the current prez of Ducks Unlimited who is a HUGE conservationist. He's taught me tons in regards to ducks migration and conservation methods. His influence + growing up in a third generation rice farming family I've learned a lot

Eta: here's my pic. Taken in the 50's

Yeah I've seen that picture. Its awesome. They sell that print in Fayetteville at a local frame shop called "Duck Club Gallery".

I love duck hunting. The only thing better is pheasant hunting.

I've never been but every year my grandpa goes pheasant hunting in Kansas & turkey hunting in Alabama with a group of his buddies. I need to tag along

Pheasant hunting is the same bird-killing goodness, with a lot less effort. You just walk out into the corn and start shooting them. They're getting scare, though. But if you can make a trip to South Dakota, its fish in a barrel.

What MeridianDog said.

Since we're mentioning movies, Full Metal Jacket left a lasting impression on me. Every time I hear the phrase "steers and queers" I immediately associate it with Texas. Seems reasonable, right?

Awesome weather, drinking in downtown Ocean Springs with my buddies, family, crawfish, riding the jetski, the awesome view when the sun is about to go down over the bay and Gulf of Mexico, actual paved roads (LOLouisiana), nice people

If you leave Alabama on HWY 82, 45 or I-20/59 they immediately improve inside Mississippi.

My house would cost 600K outside of Boston or somewhere else in 10 feet of snow.

Mississippi invented Rock and Rap

You can have an ounce of pot in MS and only receive a citation..

We're better at race relations because we're well-versed in race relations.. You didn't see a Ferguson style protest in Jackson. Half the cops are black.

Liquor is cheap and we have a sparsely populated beautiful state that shares a full border with a river and has a coastline..

What more do these motherfrickers want?

I was raised in a MS public school. At Ole Miss I have yet to meet any bastard from Texas or Georgia or wherever the hell that is way smarter than me.

That's because everyone from Texas that goes to Ole Miss is really really really dumb. It's the ultimate back up school.

Nothing. It's like a giant question mark.

Drove through it twice. Stopped at a McDonald's just off the highway last time. That's the extent of my interaction with Mississippi.
