I saw a pair on the beach a few weeks ago. Other than that I can't think of a good use. I suppose they'd be good in mud, but they'd get heavy pretty quickly.

A lot of people are using them in really wet areas as well because they don't tear up wet trails nearly as badly as narrower tires and get better traction. They're also used in snow and, as you someone, sand. That one is a little more pronounced than most though.

Yeah, pretty sure they were made for beaches, but douche bags have probably started riding them around non-coastal cities now.

Yeah, I'd never seen these until I moved to Colorado. They're very big up there, because of the snow and wet trails.

Guy up in here in Michigan slaps motors on them, customizes them and sells them for $450. There's one that will make most of the SEC proud.
