they got little bags of indian food at the store.

Coon arse food is my favorite. Y'all flat out know how to cook. Not french or Acadian Cuisine but the combo of traditional southern and the stuff that was available...seafood and game. It always amazes me that folks come from all over the world and rave over New Orleans food and it is fine but those some people miss the hole in the wall place with a screen door and thats where the real stuff is kept....

Me too...but it is southern in my opinion. Poor white folks ate the same things as slaves cooked in the same manner. Slaves introduced all sorts of new stuff but it was infused with traditional southern ingredients. My son is a soul food connesiour...constantly going to areas of Atlanta where few white folks dare go...and argues this point with me but there is nothing in any soul food restaurant that wasn't in the regular rotation on my mama's or grannies table...

Could do for breakfast, lunch and dinner! The Israelis, Greeks, Turks, all of the Eastern Mediterranean knock it out of the park. There's stuff I've eaten in the airport lounge in Istanbul that I don't even try to identify it, I just eat as much as I can.

One of my favorites is Honduran food. Their food is very flavorful and different from other Latino foods. Gotta try the different dishes sometime!

Indian food is fricking amazing. I used to be a super picky eater as a kid. Pizza and chicken tenders every night. But a couple of my best friends in high school were Indian. They had their aunts staying with them, so they could get their work visas. First time I looked into their pot, it looked disgusting. It's not pretty at all. But the smell was incredible. It smelled so good, even being picky as frick, I knew it had to be good.
Sure enough, I'm hooked. No food out there looks so funky but tastes so amazing.
And I have a hard time considering Italian, Soul food or TexMex as ethnic food. Because at those point, they're regional American food. Besides, New Mexican food is way better than TexMex.
