I made the same drive today to get back home from Destin and it was pathetic. Took me 8 hours to get home instead of 6. I was getting pissed towards the end

It is absolutely awful on summer Saturdays. 65 needs to be at least 4 lanes between Montgomery and Bham to carry all the beach traffic.

When the traffic volume increases like 400% yea it is gonna get back logged. I hate trying to do anything on Saturday during the summer now. Everything in Montgomery, Millbrook, and Prattville is slammed.

Sucks for you. I'm 45 minutes from Orange Beach (in Mobile) and less than two hours from Destin if I want a change of scenery.

Last couple times I went to Mobile, I made it from 17 miles NE of Bham to Exit 3 in 3 hrs 45 minutes.

I guess that's why Tennessee roads are regularly ranked at the top. As soon as you cross into Kentucky the roads go to shite. Fact. And Alabamas are even worse.
