PS VR2 or Quest
Posted by BulldogNation on 3/5/24 at 11:43 am
Wife has been bugging me about getting a VR system. Thoughts on PS VR2 or a Quest?
I have read the reviews and Quest might have a slight edge, but has anyone used both and honest answer.

The Wandering Village (Xbox Game Pass)
Posted by BulldogNation on 7/24/23 at 8:21 am
Started playing this over the weekend and I got sucked in. The game is still being developed, but I had fun playing it. Stayed up past 1 am playing it. It sucks you in very easy. Pretty laid back and who doesn't wanna build a village on the back of a giant walking creature.
Anyone else played it?

re: For Xbox Series X games, do you prefer having a hard copy?
Posted by BulldogNation on 2/3/23 at 10:57 pm
I still prefer the physical copy. Whenever I am done with the game, just trade in. If I really like the game, I will keep it. But Gamepass keeps getting more games I like. I am actually buying less and less games peroid.

This has hit close to home for me. My dad passed of a major heart attack back in 2011, at the age of 60. He had a major heart attack and was DOA when arrived at the hospital. I hope the family got to say goodbye, not having that is one of the biggest regrets I have.
RIP Coach. You will be missed.

A college wrestler died from a heat stroke after coaches denied the 20-year-old's repeated pleas for water as a disciplinary measure, during a particular intensive school practice in 84-degree temperatures, a police report has revealed.
quote:
ventually, during the hot summer day, Brace began to fall behind his comrades, and begged coaching staff for water - a request cops say they denied due to the student's 'poor performance.'
Two hours after the practice, Brace was found by students and staff on the ground near the gym, collapsed, clutching the grass near a pool of his own vomit.
He died of exertional heatstroke, cops said - a particularly preventable condition that does not occur without warning signs.

Thoughts on this everyone?
I hate the game being delayed, but I would rather it be done right and not have another CyberPunk disaster.

Bethesda has announced that Starfield and Redfall have been delayed to "the first half of 2023".
Announced by Bethesda on Twitter (below), no specific reasons were given for the delays, other than to say that the teams "want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them."

I got it on sale during Black Friday 2 or 3 years ago. I enjoyed the game overall. The cities do get old, but I enjoyed the story and the combat.

What kind of crazy is this? Which one of your TX baws pissed her off?

A Texas woman was arrested on felony charges after she was caught on video driving her SUV into a liquor store, striking a bystander and crashing into several parked cars during a lovers' quarrel.
The bizarre incident took place at 8pm last Friday when police were dispatched to the Liquor Depot in the 3500 block of North Belt Line Road in the Dallas suburb of Irving for a hit-and-run report.
According to the Irving Police Department, the suspect, identified as 58-year-old Annie Williams, had been fighting with her domestic partner and tried to hit him with her black Chrysler SUV, but instead drove into the store.

re: $15 minimum wage directly contributing to fast-food industry's automation push

It all a slippery slope. You want BIG govt, its the same slope. Just how far do you want to slide down it.
There is no magic cure to fix the wage gap. If 15 is the "magic number" for a liveable wage, I would be all for it. It would cut out down welfare, govt housing, etc. But it would not, people would still complain cause then they would have to pay for other stuff. ETC

I would go a step further and say that if you are on welfare, then you are on BC, Men and women. Come get your shot and here is your check.
Also make welfare a max of a year or two.

I know in the Prattville/Montgomery area, I see signs for jobs everywhere. From retail to fast food to sit down restaurants to manufacturing. It seems everywhere is hiring. I saw a post that the local McDonalds is starting pay at $11 an hour. That is way above the current minimum wage. Also what jobs are even paying the $7.50 minimum wage?
I worked fast food, retail, lawn care in HS and college and I knew that I did not want to bust my arse doing physical labor. It is a choice if you want to better yourself or blame someone else for it. That choice is up to YOU and you will be judged for it. If you become successful how dare you do that and if you stay as "low labor" shame on you also. Damned if you do and damned if you dont. The divide in the country has become insane. The extreme left and extreme right are both to blame. No one wants to meet in the middle anymore.

re: Would You Drive This? The most affordable long range EV sold in the US
Posted by BulldogNation on 2/16/21 at 12:56 pm
From the charging stations I have seen, there is always a few spots open. As time goes on more chargers will be around. I thought this talk was about it being a commuter car. Right now with me working from home and going into the office when I need too, and only going to base once a week or so, it would be perfect for me. But until there are more chargers here in AL, I will not even think about getting an EV.
