Out of those options Athens is the best college town and UGA is a really good school, so that would be my choice.

Your OP is terrible. We need where you currently live, your ACT/SAT scores, what you plan to accomplish while in school and so forth..
Being a junior in Quantitative Economics here at Auburn I can tell you one thing, it's not easy and it is a commitment.
You said you applied to Business school at Auburn.. what focus?

Well if you are frightened of lakes then choose Auburn.

You couldn't choose a focus. I just applied pre-business. My ACT is a 29. I am looking for answers like UMRealist posted. Just your opinion on my options with ya'll being students or alumni of the choices on my list.

and I thought I was the only one..
ETA: With a 29 you should be able to get a tuition scholarship at most SEC schools. I had a full tuition paid to attend Alabama with a 31 and 4.0GPA + Honors Grad.

Well if you can get into TAMU's business school it is very prestigious so I would go there. But I would really think about where you want to live afterwards because that's where you are going to need those business contacts you made in school. TAMU contacts may not be as helpful in Atlanta and likewise UGAs in Houston. Something to think about.

That's what I was going to tell him. Pick out an area where you want to live, place to work, and see what is the largest alumni network.

Its a tough world for business right now I would load up on accounting if I was you. Just a heads up.

Is that a prestigious degree for the area? You still live in Alabama? UA is well-known for giving out a lot of scholarship money with their current goal to increase in enrollment.

This. Take it from a finance grad. I could of gotten any job with an accounting degree that I could of gotten from my finance degree. Probably a much better one tbh.

I tell you what, google top business undergrad schools. Find a reliable source then list those schools you named along with Clemson and Bama in order that they are ranked in your next post.

I was coming here to say the same thing. Even if you don't want to do anything with accounting in your life an accounting degree>a business degree. Not sure about some of them but I'm pretty sure a&m has a decent accounting school

Yes, but I was an out of state student looking at Aero Engineering and both Auburn and Alabama have good programs and they were the closest to my home.
Though I ended up going into the business school.
Wouldn't say it's prestigious, a lot of engineer students at UA washout into the business school because it's quicker to complete and get into the work force. Normally you can get in with local businesses and do fairly well.
I still live in Alabama, and don't have any intentions on moving any where permanent any time soon. Right now, I work in a field that is somewhat useful to my degree but honestly wouldn't even need it to make the same amount I currently make. Contacts and good inter-personal relationships go a long way. Right now I work with a procurer to bring in lumber / trees for a large Hardwood Timber Company with many mills across this state and in the Carolinas. Mostly all I do is grade lumber as it comes in and work with the skill guys who cut timber as it goes through the process to become anything from pallets to 4'x4's to hardwood flooring. Boring for some people, but I actually enjoy it, enough to where I'm going to try to enroll into a school in Memphis for the NHLA to better my skills and work towards a goal of opening my own sawmill.
I will say that today, UA most likely wouldn't have offered me that scholarship due to them being at enrollment highs.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
