They're $0.57 each and I have to replace 14 of them. I see some "deluxe" models that are like $3 apiece but I really don't want to spend the money on them.

I'm doing fine using the cheap basic ones, right?

Picture of the ones I bought:

Maybe put the cheap ones on the outlets you rarely use and the better ones in the areas you'd use more often?

frick buying new ones...just throw your main breaker then strip all of your plugs wires bare...put alligator clips on all of your appliances and just clip them to the bare wire.

Totally safe and cost efficient

There are things to go cheap on and then there are things to not go cheap on. Your call.

Sure, if you don't think your house is worth an extra $30

I personally would get the $3. Seems like I always find a way to buy the most expensive things

Seeing houses like that built on boring arse flat land without any trees is always funny to me. Reminds me of my childhood.

Yeah, I don't see what could possibly go wrong with getting cheap electrical components.

Do you have a defibrillator? If not, I think Walmart sells them.

Seriously, don't buy your outlets at WallyWorld, go to an electrical supply outlet. More money, but worth not getting smoked plugging in your fry daddy.

My first question would be
.......why are you having to replace 14 outlets?

Dude, don't go cheap. Go to Lowes and get the ones they have. They aren't that much more $ and you don't want your house to burn down do you dipstick?

Pretty sure those are made from the ground-up bones of Chinese political prisoners, so you know they are good stuff.

I have been a Electrician for 29 years and can't count how many of those cheap recepticles and light switches I have replaced. Go to a electrical supply house or at worst Lowe's or Home Depot and pony up the cash for a good one. Also as someone before posted, turn off the breaker feeding it and test the circuit to ensure it's dead.
