Since I tried my first craft beer 2 years ago, I am slowly becoming a die hard craft beer aficionado. I had consumed almost daily for about 40 years the macro mass produced lagers, i.e. horse piss Buds and Millers mostly. Life is too short to not at least sample a few craft beers. I'm currently really digging Sierra Nevada's Hop Hunter; loved their Tropical IPA, flag bearer Pale Ale good, Celebration meh, Torpedo has a kick at over 7% abv. At first I was put off by the bitterness on the back end but have gradually developed a taste for IPAs. Think of coffee...I bet many here love coffee daily but maybe not so first time you tasted it, which is definitely bitter.

i like good beer but there are also times when all you want is to drink 20 high lifes on a sunny day.

Don't become a beer snob who says Craft before they say beer every time and tells people how the mass production domestics are shite (most everybody already knows this).

Sierra Nevada is ok. Its more of a macro microbrewery.

Im an Untapped beer snob but I dont consider the mass produced light lager beers bad. They are just a different kind of beer to me.

I like craft beers fine. Not much of a beer drinker though. If I do I usually go with the Banquet Beer.

I've become that beer drinker that does. I just can't stomach them anymore, but I don't even like the "craft" lagers or pilsners, so there's that.

I do miss being able to crush 20+ Miller Lites at the pool or beach all day though.

Miller and Yuengling Light are the two best all around beers.

I still enjoy them in the right setting. Terrapin has a pilsner I really like called Sound Czech but I generally don't like pilsners

That's a damn fine beer. There is so much good beer out there now, there is no reason to drink the crappy mass produced stuff imho.

Went to bama with one of the kids in that family. I think her uncle is the head operator now.

Sweetwater Pineapple IPA. Sounds gross, but it's delish.

i've been on a Belgian ale kick recently. most recently tried Avery's The Reverend and Salvation. Both were really good. the reverend is a slightly heavier high alcohol content version on the salvation basically.

After years of drinking craft beers from coast to coast, I slowly got over them. I don't need my beer to taste like a watermelon's a-hole with subtle motor oil notes, I just want it to be smooth and cold. I stick to bud light and if I want to change it up I'll get coors original.

I'm a firm believer in supporting your local brewers. Seek them out in your area, find the brews you like that they make, and patronize.

Everybody profits!

I'm not gonna buy mediocre beer just cause its local. Parish is really the only good Louisiana Brewery I have found.

That sucks, you'd think Louisiana would have a few dozen good breweries. We've got that many here in AK, and at least two that are world renown.

Try the Ballast Point Sculpin Pineapple, it is the shite as well.
