except como can be found on quite a few college town lists.

No one on this board except Mizzou posters put COMO on even the top ten SEC towns list.

All of these are better (in no particular order):

Athens
Oxford
Baton Rouge
Nashville
Fayetteville
Tuscaloosa
Auburn
College Station
Columbia, SC
Knoxville

Maybe you had trouble making friends there, but most people only went back home during holidays or family emergencies.

Baton Rouge isn't really a "college town"

LOL

Who gives a shite what low IQ rant tards (most of which have never had a single family member venture out of their county) have to say on the matter? You think that holds some kind of weight goofball?

She could have at least tried to make it less obvious

Neither is Madison, WI, Charlottesville, VA or Knoxville, TN, but they made the list.

So this post was just a vehicle to put CoMo in the top 3?

Oh well, I still think Columbia is generally under-rated as far as people's opinions of "college towns", and a few are generally overrated.

Stopped in Columbia for a bit on my way to Omaha, not gonna lie it seemed pretty cool. Mizzou is still lame though.

Yeah, CoMo is underrated by SEC people in general.

SI is a terrible, "woke" publication, though.

They should just close up shop. Also, people should stop posting their shite here.

CoMo is awesome. As true a “college town” as you’ll find where the city has sprouted up around the college and the school is ingrained into every aspect of it. Absolutely beautiful campus.

Athens and Oxford are both similar to this. So is College Station but the campus is hideous.

Nashville is a cool city obviously, with a college in it. Knoxville is a significantly less cool city with a college in it.

Athens I can get behind.
College Station is a good town
Oxford for partying, sure

Columbia... really?
And Knoxville is a hole. Probably the worst college town in the SEC.

CoMo has urban fabric downtown similar in scale to Athens. Fayetteville would be just behind that as far as the college-town core.

Oxford is like 2 blocks of cool stuff.

Not for a lengthy span of time, so maybe I missed out a few things.

Columbia is fine but i am not sure its any better than places like Bloomington, IN or Boise, ID.

Madison is far and away the best. The location of the campus between two lakes is just spectacular.

No, no, you are a lawyer, you should have read the fine print. We said it was a top 5 best place to live in the United States. That sort of transcends being a college town.
