Doesn't sound like she's going to die and her son didn't shoot himself in the face.

Who would've thought a 4 year old boy shooting his own mother in the back could have so many silver linings ?

Yeah, if it had been worse I'd feel real guilty in laughing about this.

My favorite thing is that her page was titled "Gun Sense." lol.

This will make for a hilarious interview after she's recovered.

Probably one of those dummies who says "I teach my child to respect firearms." Of course you should but you still don't leave it laying out cause how often do kids not do what they are supposed to.

Why was there a .45 in the backseat with a child? Dumbass

I'm pro-gun but there definitely needs to be a change. More required training would be a great start.

Same here. I think it is honestly just too easy to get a gun. Too many incidents in the past few years.

How many four year-olds can hit what they're aiming at, even at close range?

I'm still trying to figure out the logistical value of having a gun in your backseat. Why not the glove compartment? Or center console? The nook in your door? If she's this pro gun, I imagine she has a CWP. Why not keep it on you?

All of those places make it inaccessible for the child and more accessible to you if it's needed.

I disagree with requiring more training. I would wager she had more than the average person. Training doesn't fix lack of judgement.

That's not to say that more training is advisable and recommended. Just don't think it should be forced for a Right. Many are fine or get better growing up and would be a burden to have to do so.

I expect she's paying dearly for her mistake, glad the kid won't grow up knowing he killed his mom. And hopefully this teaches one person out there not to do something as careless.

It was probably her backseat gun. You know, for when you are vacuuming the back seat and don't have time to get to the three guns in the front seat or the two in the trunk.

A "right" doesn't mean "no oversight". Do you think there should be voter ID laws, since that is a barrier to exercising a "right"

Maybe it should be a privilege instead of a right.

I don't have the right answer, but if something isn't done it's going to be all or nothing. You can't deny there is a disturbing trend happening. It's not as extreme as gun control activists claim, but there is a trend.

If you can't admit that there is a disturbing trend in gun violence in this country, then you either are dishonest or have an agenda
