Takes me back to my Catholic schooling and teachers trying to explain this whole 3 in 1 thing. Apparently saying God has multiple personality disorder isn't an acceptable interpretation of this piece of Christian dogma.

i like the pie analogy. you got crust, filling and a topper. individually... they're ok. together they're complete.

I've always found the ice, water, steam analogy to make the most sense. All the same stuff, just in different forms.

My biggest issue was Transubstantiation. You can always tell a Catholic who didn't get a proper Catholic education on this point. You'll get them to tell you communion is just symbolic when you accuse them of being cannibals. Bad Catholics.

The Holy Spirit is definitely the odd one out. It's the "crust" or the "steam" or the "Curly" of the group

The Holy Spirit has it rough. The Father is a big old dude with a righteous biker beard and lighting. The Son is a long haired hippy that feeds poor people and can become a zombie. The Holy Spirit? It's that amorphous blob over there that can drop fire over people's heads on Pentecost. Dude gets no respect, and He made the bible happen and gave the apostles balls.

I have no problem with you telling me all this stuff. It's not like I don't have friends telling me how awesome sex is and how ridiculous I am for waiting until marriage. But there's no way you're going to change my mind on that. If I've waited 23 years, I have no problem waiting a couple more.

Well for about half of those 23 years you didn't give a shite. Let's be fair and say about 10 years or so. Since puberty.

Good point there. It's just not that hard to wait if you really make it somewhat of a priority in your relationship. I'm sure if I'd had sex I would feel differently, but as of now I don't know what I'm missing out on so I'm good

Well fwiw it's all beyond me. I didn't wait, never dated a girl who waited, none of my good friends waited. I have a coworker who got married last year and It kind of shocked me that he said he was a virgin because he's a normalish guy and never came off as super religious. But I don't have a problem with it. I'm kind of amused at fawx trying to convince you so badly to have sex. Why does he care?

I don't have any advice except do your own thing

Not at all. I have mentioned many times my beliefs and the contradicting beliefs of those I admire.

Yeah, he says "it's ok if you believe that" but I think he means "I'm smarter than you and you better choose your next words wisely"

Better choose your next words wisely referred to a person calling me a self loathing Hispanic that was a culprit to the greatest racist force in the country against my own people. It was never a threat of violence, merely a challenge not to continue with ignorance.

What do you have against me? You seem to really attack me more than anyone on this board.

You certainly don't come across as a deist/agnostic.

Nah, FaWx and I disagree on most things outside of sports/Texan culture, but he's still my n*gga
