Never heard of a suburb that’s over an hour away.

Whatever shitty roads between Macon to Athens since I had to get off the interstate to cut up. 55 mph speed limit that entire time. Ugh.
There's more than one way to get to Athens from Atlanta. If you don't like 2 lane roads, there is an alternative that, depending on traffic, might actually be quicker.

Business Insider's Top 15 campuses in the Country.

Georgia #7. Florida #n/a

Like I said earlier, I've been on UF's campus a number of times, including two football games in the Swamp. UF's campus approaches Auburn's for the 'meh' factor.

Nice troll, tho.

practically a suburb of Atlanta.

Sorry, "practically" a suburb. Athens is no where near a suburb of ATL. But if so, I guess Auburn is as well

I know multiple folks who make the commute every day from Oconee to Atlanta.

It's an hour from Atlanta WTF is so unusual about an hour commute every day?

Yea,so PRACTICALLY isn't far fetched at all.

I know people that live in South Carolina that work in Atlanta, that doesnt make it a suburb

Would you say Auburn is practically a suburb of Atlanta?

I commute to Jacksonville sometimes. It takes me a little over an hour. But I certainly don’t think Gainesville is a Jacksonville suburb.

No actually it’s quite accurate. Clarke borders counties that are officially designated as suburb counties. You’re the one who’s dumb.

Regardless of what is or isn’t Metro ATL, the assertion that it’s in the middle of no where is dumb. Clarke has 120,000 people and abuts Barrow County which has something like 80,000 people and abuts Gwinnett that has what, 700,000? That’s not rural.

I had to drive through a lot of tiny towns to get to Athens and after we left Athens, on the way to Atlanta, there were more tiny towns we had to through to get to I-20.

I would say your numbers are off.
