To be fair about it... the numbers are skewed. East St. Louis is actually located in Illinois.

No one cares about OU or Oklahoma. Go find the Big 12 Board.

So, that would reflect Illinois. Numpty

I could name plenty of poverty areas around STL, that are in Missouri.

You are correct though about East STL, and Clinton County.

Just curious to see how it changes if you only include the county/jurisdiction in which the school resides:

EAST - Average is 10.57%
Missouri (Boone) - 6%
Kentucky (Fayette) - 7%
Tennessee (Knox) - 10%
Florida (Alachua) - 11%
Vanderbilt (Davidson) - 12%
South Carolina (Richland) - 12%
Georgia (Clarke) - 16%

West - Average is 13.29%
Ole Miss (Lafayette) - 12%
Arkansas (Washington) - 13%
Auburn (Lee) - 13%
LSU (East Baton Rouge) - 13%
Alabama (Tuscaloosa) - 14%
Mississippi State (Oktibbeha) - 14%
Texas A&M (Brazos) - 14%

Biggest moves: East - Florida up from 7th to 4th; West - Ole Miss up from 6th to 1st.

Oklahoma at 12% ties us with 2nd place Kentucky. Missouri showing they don't belong in the SEC.

It would explain why most Oklahoma Fans prefer grilled salmon (Pac-12) over fried catfish. OU Fans don't belong with the Buttermilk crowd. Tater Tots. Mr. Pibb. Green Bean Casserole. Grits. Cornbread.

Seems to be a positive correlation between illiteracy and football recruiting. As a Missouri fan in the SEC this is very uncomfortable.

Yikes. Miami is probably the main reason for this.

Hush-a-bye, ma baby, slumbertime is comin' soon;
Rest yo' head upon my breast while Mommy hums a tune;
The sandman is callin' where shadows are fallin',
While the soft breezes sigh as in days long gone by.

I can't even fricking read this to know if I should feel insulted.

To be fair, it is the most populated parish in the state, with possibly the worst school district in the state, and it's comprised of over 45% Sheila Jackson Lee voters.
