Honeymoon Destinations Within 3 Hours of Houston?

So I am getting married in November (I know I know my life is over) and I HATE flying. Its my biggest fear. As a compromise to the future wife I told her we could fly somewhere tropical for our honeymoon as long as the flight wasnt over 2 and a half hours (we live in Houston area). Any recommendations on where we could go that would be a badass time but without having to fly for 3+ hours?
ETA: must have a beach and all inclusive option type resort

Lake Charles.
How about New Orleans? Eat great. WWII museum is great.

Caribbean or Cabo. All inclusives are great after a wedding because you have to do and think less. But they kind of suck in comparison to others

Forgot to say it has to be somewhere with a beach and all inclusive option.

NOLA, but don't know about beaches but you're near the ocean.

The Bahamas are just within your 3 hour limit I think.

Perks of Belize, lots of American ex pats who live/retired there so I wouldn't worry about crime.
Cons, outside of a resort/nice hotel it's third world.
We did a trip through the jungle there and my lord was the drive over a bit depressing.

You could do Costa Rica. I think the flight was right around 3 hours from Houston. We landed at the Liberia airport and had about an hour ride to our resort on the Pacific Coast. It was pretty awesome. Tons to do within an hour of the resorts.
ETA: Also, if flying makes you tense, go tell your doc. I got prescribed a low dose of Xanax for when I fly. Takes the edge off without completely laying me out.

Do an Excellence resort. I don't know exactly how far it is from you, but they have them in Mexico and the DR. Best AI I have ever been to.

Belize is pretty cool. Laid back, great snorkeling, beautiful beaches, easy exchange rate... Only cons I found is the Diet Coke sucks and it takes an act of congress to get some decent beer...

Do they actually have "Diet Coke" or is it "Coke Light"? Laughed at that the first time we had it.

Cayman Islands would probably make the cut if there is a direct flight.
