over time it lessens with each generation in general. There will always be the outliers but over time everything goes to the middle.

I would say comfortably that all races would prefer their children marry within their race....same with religion, but not as much as it used to be...

Class prejudice is passing racism quickly. I personally feel most people aren't racist because of skin color, they are prejudiced against people who are of a different class of wealth and beliefs.
If a normal white person sees a black person with his pants down his arse walking down the middle of the street, he probably thinks negatively about it. If a white person sees a white dude driving a jacked up truck with a rebel flag flying in the back, he thinks the same negativity about that. If a white guy is in the grocery store and sees a Woman of any race with 5 kids running around paying for groceries with an ebt card, he thinks negatively about that. Skin color has less to do with hate these days than upstanding individuals being prejudiced against lazy, worthless, and individuals with low IQs all over society growing rampant.

We were driving out to West Texas to see my wife's folks and some yahoo in a small town was driving around with an oversized conf flag standing up in the truck of bed.
My son asked what that was and I said, "just an idiot rightfully and justly exercising his first amendment rights." To which my wife hit me.

There's always gonna be the fringe that find reasons to hate other people for whatever reason: Jews, blacks, Muslims, etc, etc, etc.
I agree that racism is changing generationally. Having grown up in Bham, Al home of the Civil Rights struggle, I have seen it first hand. Both of my teenagers are very accepting of different peoples. It helps that their closest cousins are both from a mixed marriage (black father and white mother). How could a kid hate black people when their closest family members are black?
The gap I see the most is between social and economic differences. My son's best friend is black. His dad is a college professor and his mother is a nurse. They really pressure him to study and stay straight. A lot of the "keepin it real" black kids at high school give him shite because of his white friends, the way he talks, good grades, etc, etc. For them, he's not black enough.

I submit that there's a lessening of it on the macro level as generations pass, but there will always be pockets of cretins who keep the absurd line of thinking that melanin levels must match to have a romantic relationship alive.

I watch college football. I love breaking bad and the sopranos and the wire just like everyone else. I like brueno mars and even katy perry to some extent, though i prefer jazz over everything. I like the west wing. I like good BBQ and i love pizza just like everyone else. I like Budweiser and to shoot pool. I like big dogs. I generally were polo shirts and polo shorts but also wear khakis and spurrys about 80% of the time. I play call of duty and NBA 2k. I love history documentaries. I was raised in church just like everyone else in the south.
What the hell is so different about my "culture" than white people lol? If you didn't know I was black you'd probably assume I was white from the description above.
my best friend who is half russian half italian, her dad who is a russian jew, wears a gold chain, has a benz on 22's lol and has more jordans than i have shoes lol one day was like "i don't want my daugther to be around ghetto people" i was like dude you're more ghetto than any black dude i know
In my experience, men are 10x more raciest than women are. Women don't care (for the most part). They might care about their social status, but they do not think any less of any race outside their own. Men on the other hand, care, and most men, aren't even what you call "redneck racist", but more "sexually based racism" if that makes sense. They don't want guys pilligning their playing field so to speak. The avg white guy knows, i'm no different than any guy you see on the street. I like football, i have a job, i can put a sentence together, i'm well dressed, my skin tone is just darker than theirs. But people use this as a shaming tactic to keep women in line.
My mother, who is not racist whatsoever but does not like the fact that i date white women, wants her black son to have a black wife. I can respect that, I just dont' go race hunting. If i have a black wife so be it, but it's becuase she's the best woman for me not becuase she's black.
White parents, want their daughters to have the best situation then can have. I can respect that. As a black man, I would not want my hypothetical daughter to come hoe with some ghetto arse black dude either. I also wouldn't want her to come home with some trailer trash white dude either.
