Yeah, I think that's ridiculous too. Just like I'm registered Democratic, I was offended when Sarah Palin was picked hoping to sway the female vote
Were blacks called racist if they admitted that?
What do you think a white man would be called if he said that's the way he ------- wait you already brought that up.

I'm not saying it's exactly oranges to oranges, but it's definitely oranges to tangerines.

I was going to qualify: "Okay, some form of citrus."

My ex screwed me over pretty good.
Garlic butter pasta for two straight days, finally getting paid tomorrow.
You actually like grapefruit? I could eat that until my mouth hurts.

They should've been, because that's what that is.
So you don't think my family member is racist? Or that somehow he is excused from being labeled that because Samuel L Jackson wasn't labeled the same by everyone?

Belated condolences on the breakup btw. My little brother just went through one last weekend too. shite sucks.
And I actually loathe grapefruit. Never developed a taste for it for some reason. My dad loves the stuff though so it was always in the house growing up

Do you think this is representative of the entire nation?

Do you think if your family member were to be highlighted against someone who voted only because someone was black, do you think they would receive the same amount of derision?
What do you think the supporters of each side would look like?
It's a matter of which is more talked about. Which race is usually highlighted as being racist?
Which race can say blatantly racist things and get away with it as compensation for the past?

Yeah, my dad said it's been the time for breakups (I must have missed others breaking up), but I'm pretty decent. Looking forward to a rebound for sure.

My perception of fruit has changed ever since I moved to Mexico and got them straight from the market.
There is definitely a different taste for fruit down here, because I used to hate grapefruit but the stuff here is amazing.

The one that's used racism to the greatest advantage in this country.

You're speaking far too broadly now.

Southern Poverty Law Center is a hate site.
Having a Bible study group on the list doesn't give them much credibility. They are no better than those they are calling out.

This is a genetic fallacy.
I'm not CP'ing because I think you're uneducated, but just so I can get the direct definition.
The genetic fallacy, also known as fallacy of origins, fallacy of virtue,[1] is a fallacy of irrelevance where a conclusion is suggested based solely on something or someone's origin rather than its current meaning or context. This overlooks any difference to be found in the present situation, typically transferring the positive or negative esteem from the earlier context.
The fallacy therefore fails to assess the claim on its merit. The first criterion of a good argument is that the premises must have bearing on the truth or falsity of the claim in question.[2] Genetic accounts of an issue may be true, and they may help illuminate the reasons why the issue has assumed its present form, but they are irrelevant to its merits.[3]

That's an adequate challenge, I'll concede that one.

No it isn't.
But you're steering this back towards your pet white privilege denial argument I can see
Not going there. We've beaten that to death.

Of course it is. We're talking about something that happened over 40 to 60 years ago and how it's relevant to the current generation.
Whites, for the most part, are phantasmagorically more accepting and tolerant (almost to make one sick) than they used to be.

You're entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine.
The private school in my area, rural farming community for much of the past, was founded in 1965. What do you think the demographics of that school are?
Property taxes are ridiculously low, and the public school system has suffered greatly from that. What do you think the demographics of the public schools are?
Now it's slowly changing from an influx of middle class families not from the area, but that's been within the last 15 years.
The racial divide is still very strong and the climate was set up for the whites to succeed at a much higher rate. Things are changing for the better, and there is a noticeable improvement in the county elementary school, but I'm not going to close my eyes and think that all in the past is forgotten and everything should be magically better now.
From your previous arguments, I agree money is the ultimate equalizer, but for much of the black community in the area in which I live, the jobs weren't available for them to make that money. 1965 is not that long ago.
