Dows White Racism Lead to Black Racism?

Saw the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hate Map and looked at some of the groups there.
Black separatists, Nation of Islam, claims white's racism leads to black's racism. I haven't thought about it. What do you think?
Some of those "hate groups" look little more than a couple of rednecks mad at the world. And some of them are just plain nuts.

The acknowledgment and pride one takes in their race is what leads to racism. Whites have moved beyond this, blacks are still stuck with it.

acknowledgement & pride in one's race doesn't lead to racism. Only the belief that one's race is superior to all other and there is no value in any other (ie, see bammer) leads to racism.

In my opinion the problem is that it isn't a very long jump from pride in one's race to belief in its superiority. That's not to say that everyone who feels pride is a supremacist but I just don't think those two are very far apart.

Ok so you're saying that black pride is more common and more acceptable. I agree with you. It's just your original statement was a little broad - I think that plenty of whites haven't moved past it and plenty of blacks aren't stuck on it.

Indeed, that's what I'm saying but I'll go further: It's not just acceptable, it's encouraged.
In a white household, because of the major problems suffered a few decades back, it's far less common to hear someone say: Be proud that you're white.
In fact, outside of a stark minority of whites, it's probably not uttered at all.

I think they may be the most outspoken and most sensitive of any race specifically because they're hung up on it.
I think it's a matter of perception and it may be subjective, but the fact is: There is no race more easily offended than blacks regarding race.
