Yes they fricking do!

After sampling comedians on Youtube, I think cussing is overused by the worst but sparingly, and very effectively, included by the best.

Mama never watched the frick scene on The Wire. The amount of communication with one little word shows the power of profanity.
YT obviously NSFW language

The Danes cuss a lot. When I asked about it, I was told, "Don't be offended. They just use it for punctuation."

People who can't curse well are like people learning to cook. Cuss words are to language as spices are to food.
Bad cooks often throw open their spice cabinet and just add everything. Bad cussers throw cusses around everywhere. Both diminish the product, denude their potency, and are substitute for proper technique & quality ingredients.
All that said, language without any cussing is just fricking bland.

Even though I generally swear like a sailor, I can agree with this. Perfect example is The Office vs Parks and Rec. Parks and Rec seemed to have bleeps every few episodes and it lost the comedy. The bleeps on The Office seemed so rare and fit in so perfectly.

Parks and Rec is like Arrested Development for me. They both came so close, but obvious production hell and later season writing drift just killed them.

She's correct. They just make you seem incapable of explaining yourself in a reasonable manner.

A well placed cuss word is a thing of beauty. Still, they should be used sparingly if at all.

She’s right, it just makes you seem trashy and ignorant.

Sometimes cuss/curse/swear words do actually make it better.
For Example...
Patton's speech to the 3rd Army. Remove the "cuss" words and it isn't nearly as effective!
