Not all of SC. Mustard based BBQ is in the Midlands. The orange mustard is prevalent in the Lowcountry. In the Upstate you have tomato based sauce. From Clarendon County east to Horry County up to the North Carolina line is solely pepper vinegar. That's what I grew up on and we thought putting mustard or tomato sauce on BBQ was a sin. Scott's in Hemingway, Big D's in Conway, McCabe's in Manning, Country Cousins in Olanta, Schoolhouse in Scranton, Shuler's in Latta and Brown's in Kingstree are all pepper vinegar.
