Aren't we all just alts?

When I first started my first post I, Ashley Schaeffer, have been accused of being an "alter." I can assure all you fine folks that I am indeed not an alter (check the emoji analysis). In fact, when some peeter puffer, who's name I shall not mention, requested that my profile get reviewed because I made a tasteless joke about an unfortunate incident involving a tiger during a heated argument among assorted accusations. Accordingly, I was locked out of my account for the rest of the weekend. And like any good ranter, I tried to make an alt using a different email account for some Chinese company and the name Reg Mackworthy. For reasons unknown, I was unable to use any tomfoolery on tRant admins and they told me to use real account, which of course was filled with only the prime cuts of posts.

Now that I have finished with one tale, let me regale you with another. This week, I was rather sick with some form of black lung that rendered me practically useless and I was unable to utilize my time for the tRant due to my tragic illness. I know most of you mourned this breaking of the seventh seal and cried in the deafening silence without my glory. But then, as the fever was making my hands feel like two balloons, I had a thought. An affinity. Like lightning had just struck my brain. Aren't we all "alts" trying to escape the realities and the social constructs of the world to communicate with others using a fabricated image of ourselves that is inauthentic, skewed, and perverted to our own desires of what we want ourselves to be? We have created characters for ourselves.
