I don't despise FL but I'll probably be moving back to metro Atlanta sooner than later. It really is a weird state.

Yeah. I don't mean this as an insult, Florida is kind of a schizophrenic state. Florida in the winter is a nice laid back place where the natives are friendly. Florida in the summer is a madhouse.

Pretty much anyone in the SEC that doesn't live in GA, TN or AR should feel this way

Why should the other states be despised?

can't really use the public schools. Paying 12k per year in tuition kind of sucks but so does sitting in traffic for 2 hrs per day

Is this a big problem in other states too??

Please elaborate. I work in Huntsville often and live in Nashville. There is no comparison.

I like Louisiana. Tons of faults but in my opinion is one of if not the most culturally distinct and unique of all the states. And hell I don’t have a football team I care about either.

Or are you referring to other 3 cities, like Knoxville, Chattanooga and Memphis? If so, I still disagree. Only one I’d take Huntsville over would be Memphis. Knoxville and surrounding area is an outdoorsmans paradise.

I very clearly said other than Nashville.

Reading is fundamental,bro.

Plus, you were the guy on here hyping up Memphis for years. That really hurt your credibility.

I’ve never hyped Memphis in my life, bro. You have me confused with someone else. I also clearly posted again to clarify. FWIW, Chattanooga and Knoxville > Huntsville or any other city/town in Alabama I’ve visited.

My confusion came from you referring to 3 other large cities. There are no “large” cities in TN besides Memphis and Nashville. Chattanooga population is under 180k. My reading comprehension is only as good as what I’m reading, bro.

North shore is nice, and you're doing something wrong if you can't enjoy a weekend in BR OR NOLA, but it would take a lot of money for me to move back home.

I might consider moving back if the money is right, and St George becomes a thing, but BR is going down the drain with the local politics the way they are.

What I love about Huntsville is that you don't have the crime like all these big cities, but you are not far away from them and they can all be easily gotten to, enjoyed, and then get back home to some peace and quiet.

1.5 hours to Nashville
1.5 hours to Birmingham
4 Hours to Memphis
4 hours to Atlanta.

There is a lot to be said for a town that is just big enough it has all the good things, but not big enough it has a lot of the bad things. I have family that used to live in Huntsville and they loved the place. An hour and a half drive to Nashville isn't bad at all.

Louisiana is deeply flawed but i still love it.

I lived in Austin for 2+ years and while it's superior to everything Louisiana in all measurable ways it just was not the same. I think it was that the city was being gutted and almost completely rebuilt all around me, it was sad. I like being able to walk around New Orleans and see so much history and cultural tradition. There's also a lot less pretentiousness here than in most other places i've been save Chicago and northern England.
