So if you take away the North part of the state and the South part then it's just Birmingham

I think it’s Birmingham he’s talking about!

Poster never said La invented MG…just said it was better there. Lot of wasted time defending the right to claim being first.

Birmingham used to be the armpit of the earth, but over the past 15 years or so it has actually turned into a quite nice and - dare I say it? - cool city. The downtown area in particular is really astonishing to see today if you remember the way it was in the late 90's and very early 00's.

Don't tell anybody, though. It sucks here! Don't move here!

Anything Alabama claims as their own is stolen from another Southern state. Their attempt at Mardi Gras is pathetic and everyone knows that Mardi Gras should only be celebrated in Louisiana.

Mardi Gras started in Mobile before Louisiana

You make a decent point. The influx of Yanks and figs to Nashville is unsettling

And you can trace the beginning back to when country music was ruined. This was the start of the influx. There really was a "Murder on music row".-$1 to Strait and Jackson

No you are wrong. The southern communist state of Georgia is a total disgrace to the south. Trying to charge Trump for questioning a fake election. Voted for the crooked Biden. Made a hero out of Stacey Abrams who still claims to be the governor. Georgia has elected 2 communist backed Senators. The Georgia bullies should withdraw from the SEC and join the IVY league were they belong. I proudly say I drove for hours north to south across the whole state of Georgia a few days ago. Only stopped to pee. Spent no money.

I'm not used to taking up for Alabama, but Mardi Gras started in Mobile before the first beads were ever thrown in New Orleans. So your very first point couldn't be more wrong.

He aint wrong two fortune 500 companies in the entire state and they just barely made the cut line.

Two Alabama entities are listed on the Fortune 500, which ranks the nation's largest publicly held corporations. Regions Financial Corp. (NYSE: RF), which again made the list at No. 483, is joined by Vulcan Materials Co. at 494

This is coming from a state that invented the tooth brush. If it had been invented in any other state it would have been called a Teeth Brush.
