Why is a low skilled person like a cashier owed a “decent wage”? Business isn’t a charity. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to run a low margin restaurant like that in a place like NYC? The government artificially inflated the cost of local labor and the business owner responded accordingly. Nothing about that should be “illegal.”
