Silly me for thinking this time would be different.

We had a chance to beat #8 ranked team with a minute to go. This team has talent but we didn’t execute today. Overall probably played a C or B level game. Years past if we didn’t play our A+ we had no chance. Kirby and drink need to revisit some things on offense to stretch field a bit. Secondary still an issue but defense is pretty solid. A lot of upside in the remainder of the season.

Limited them to 200 passing despite targeting BS. No one has done better against Simpson. Our offense let the entire team down.

A loss usually ruins my entire weekend but it was very entertaining, competitive game. Great effort on defensive side. Frustrated with offensive play calling but still had a chance. I’m still optimistic for rest of season. Would love to see Beau have some quick one read passes and deep shots. He’s 6 games into his first season as full time starter. Kirby needs to do a better job and less predictable. MIZ.

We got too cute on offense. Defense played solid overall.
Let’s see how the running game (not enough carries today) and the defense travel.
I still think this team has a path to the playoff. Gotta at least split @Vandy and Texas A&M.
Oklahoma doesn’t look scary today. All the others will be tough but if we play like we did today we should win the others.
Stop getting cute on offense. Run the damn ball until it is stopped completely.

Ran to the right all game. Mix it up and give Robert’s more carries. Wondering if drink should hire QB coach. Seeing similar tendencies of late between cook and beau bailing out of pocket. Beau had some time and receivers open on occasion but afraid to make a mistake.

Agreed Hardy needed more carries

It’s just one game. We were never going unbeaten
Can’t let one loss beat you twice though. Penn State got psyched for that Oregon game, lost it, and hasn’t won since and now their season is all over
Alabama probably has the best QB we’ll see in SEC play. Got to get back to work and be ready for Auburn

100% agree.
Hardy should get 20 to 25 touches
Roberts 10 to 15
Pribula 3 or 4 designed rushes a game
vs Central Ark 37 rushes
vs kansas 47 rushes
vs Louisiana 62 rushes
vs South Carolina 48 rushes
vs UMass 52 rushes
Alabama 28 rushes
Hardy had 12 and Roberts 5

Funny. Losses never ruin my weekend, but this one is.
It's not often we have a chance to kick in the door. We did this weekend and came up oh so short again.

We still have opportunities for wins against high ranked teams. So still optimistic. Put this one behind us and win next week.

And then you look at Indiana and what they’ve accomplished since last year, and that makes yesterday all the more frustrating.

The fact that Mizzou didn't get embarrassed like they did last season and always against Alabama. ..however good things are on the rise for Mizzou and I expect them to get to the next level very quickly

Calm down.
Yesterday was by far Cignetti’s best win. His best win prior to that was last years win over an 8-5 Michigan team.

And when have we won on the road against an AP top five? That win is a dam big deal.

It’s one win halfway through the year. Oregon was ranked so high based on their win over Penn State. Their second best win is over Northwestern.
If you want to pretend that Cignetti is the second coming of the promised Messiah based on that, you are welcome to do so.

Oregon was ranked high because they had never lost a big 10 game. It wasn’t some media darling who hasn’t earned their spot.

If Drink has the guts to change his OC, Safeties coach, and possibly hire a QB coach this offseason, I think we will be a top 10 team next year. (I'm assuming our NIL continues to accumulate great talent suited to our schemes. Also assuming new OC is a good hire.)
