Post all your camp comments, analysis, injury reports and general camp-related commentary here.

If you have video highlights, interviews, etc., please post them in Mizzou23's Camp Video thread.

This will help keep our camp info organized and easily accessible until the season starts.

I really hope Mitch Hall beats out Copeland

I think he ultimately will. I like Copeland's grit, but it sure seems to me, Hall has the higher upside.

Hey, UR! I haven't seen you in a week or so, was getting worried about you!!

I'm confused by having 2 players named Mitch Hall. But if this one has the skills to beat Copeland, so be it. Copeland is still great for the program, love his fire.

Here's Matter's column from today. Pinkel apparently loves his freshmen on the DL. Sounds like we may see some of them playing.

He said yesterday the freshmen on the OL will likely redshirt.

I would love to see Augusta play. His size and strength will be a big plus.

Sounds like Augusta and Nate Crawford could do some damage. The comparison of Crawford to Ziggy Hood excites me.

I have always been a fan of Augusta. From the moment he committed I thought he would get some snaps from day one. Excited to see it is possible. Get these guys more work in early that way come jr or sr year they are fully ready. One of our bigger down falls in years past was very few true freshman playing imo. Then when it came time for them to play they went through the growing pains. Let them get the growing pains as a rotational player so when they are starters they dont deal with it.

In order to make that work though, you have to have players who won't be manhandled as freshmen. Sounds like we have a few of these now.

Augusta may struggle a bit because he wasn't able to come to campus earlier and work with the trainers in summer practices. Hope he can catch up quick. As for Crawford, I hope to see him have great success. That will help open the Florida pipeline up further.

I've heard that Augusta did a pretty good job this summer of hitting the weight room and conditioning pretty hard despite not being on campus until a few days ago. I like the work ethic that he brings. He's going to be a stud DT!

Really excited about Augusta and Crawford. I really think(without seeing) that he's worked his tail off to be ready to go from the get go. He was recruited as a DE at like 260 or so and seems to have worked to come in with an additional 30 pounds or so. Really like his apparent drive. Augusta seems to have the natural ability and if he has the drive, he can be special.

Shame to hear about Gill.

I hate to hear that about Gill. Yesterday the injury was minor, and today he's left the team? What's going on there?

We can't afford to lose any DL players. We need the depth in a big way.

Really don't know much about Mizzou athletes. Will any of those guys be as good as Richardson?? I loved watching him last year. Was wondering who'll be the key player/star of the defense for Mizzou since Sheldon is gone.

Sheldon was a rare talent. Tough to replace that. But, what I expect to see this year is no single "star" but improved performance across the line. LInebacker depth will be a little more questionable, we lost 3 senior there, one of whom is now with the Titans.

No. They weren't 5 stars, they won't be 1st round picks, they won't ever be able to single handedly change the game.

But they could be really good. And likely won't spout their mouths off, slam lockers while media is listening, or throw the team under the bus and get suspended for a must win game.

Gill will adress the media tomorrow as to why he left the team. He suffered a pretty devastating injury last year in his leg and has felt more pain in that leg early in camp. That could be a reason.

Rumor on TB is that the Lisfranc injury to his foot will require more surgery. And that he may be waiting to start his clock instead of joining the team now and using a medical redshirt year. If he has surgery, and joins the next class, he could still have 5 years to play 4. Who knows though.

A good example (along with Franklin is 100% last year) of why I am waiting to see and hoping Josey truly is 100%.
