Mizzou is now formally claiming the 1960 National Championship

I think people have been born, had families, had careers, and reached retirement age since then (it was over 65 years ago), so I really have no point of view on this at all since I wasn't alive then and have no connection to speak of.

I do know when others talk about ancient championships or who claim championships years and years after the fact I tend to roll my eyes in a who gives a shite manner.

I suppose for those who were around then and are still alive, especially those who were part of the team, it is a nice gesture.

I know the guys from that team never claimed it, but they deserve it! Most are gone now, but they would have loved to get together on the 19th and tell stories about each other.

I hope the ones still alive can make it and receive the standing ovation they have coming to them.
