All I can think of, as strange as this sounds is Butch Davis. He can recruit and actually did well at Cincinnati, maybe Tennessee was too toxic.

Maybe Sumlin if UA dumps him. He can recruit.

We don’t know.
We do know that Mizzou can be competitive with the SEC.
The sky isn’t falling because Odom is struggling with OJT.

It's not a question of whether Mizzou can be competitive, it's a question of is there a coaching staff available to get us there?

Or would moving to the Big 10 even with Odom, make the program better?

Dude just no. Pinkle had about the same record at this point and Odom just needs time and there are no coaches and if we hire one we well all get arse herpes.

Jesus told me so

Pinkel at least let Christensen completely change the offense after his 4th season. DD has been scouted to the point that his offense is not any good without Lock.

Any of those guys would be great for Mizzou in the Big 10. But none have proven SEC recruiting chops, and you need that to build a SEC competitive program. We would be rolling the dice again.

hiring a coach is always rolling the dice and you don't really know how they come up till year 4 or so. And you have to put 20 mil or so on the table.

Frank Wilson was a monster recruiter at LSU, the only reason I put him on the list. Satterfield recruits that area too. Mizzou doesn't really recruit the SEC footprint well anyway (some success in Georgia)

but if you're looking for a guy with proven P5 HC experience and proven SEC recruiting I don't think we can get Saban to come here.

You drive a hard bargain but I suppose that you guys can have him. When can he sign the contract?

They’d be frickups there as they were in the B12 and are currently in the SEC.
I think we all need to face an uncomfortable truth: big time football left COMO with Dan Devine for good. What you saw last night and the past couple decades are the norm. Get your Saturdays back, because life is too short to waste it on this foolishness.

Y’all need to get rid of Odom. Team is is way too inconsistent, no reason to lose to Wyoming And vandy. I would make a run at pj fleck and row the boat

This season is the greatest underachievement in the last 20 years. 8 guys named to the coaches All SEC teams and can't beat Wyoming, Vandy, and Kentucky.

Castillo's post game comments the last two weeks hint that there is something brewing the locker room. The team is playing like there is a lack of leadership. I like several of the coaches but there is a disconnect on the offensive side of the ball and now the defense has thrown in the towel.

If I was a betting man I'd offer you every cent I had on a bet that y'all absolutely roflstomp Arkansas this year. Somehow, someway, we are worse then were were last year.

What I think will happen with Odom is what is probably going to happen with Morris at Arkansas. You will keep him around one more year to see if he can turn the corner and he won't make it. Then you'll start looking for a new coach at the same time a dozen other good programs are fishing for one.

Maybe Clark down at UAB would be a good choice (he does seem like a state of Alabama lifer though) or Drinkwitz over at Appalachian State would be good choices.

Odom hinted at it a bit, too.

Also, the announcers made a weird comment about Albert O and said the coaches said they have to take him out of a lot of plays because of his conditioning issues.

That seems like a “throw a player all the way under the bus” comment.

So no one on the team actually views Barry as a glue type leader? Holy frick. Sterk is actually going to kick the can down the round again and waste time with another year of Odom?

I’m done if there are no major changes. 2015 is about to be long gone with none of those players remaining. Move on or nuke the program. No one is going to show the rest of this year or next year at the new fancy dancy improved field.

Hasn’t Albert O had a bunch of injuries that limit his practice time?

He may be forced to move on from Dooley.

Dooley looked better with Lock. He’s looked awful this year.

But Odom won’t hire a name OC. He doesn’t want to hire a passable interim.

Who said that? From players comments there appear to be a high number of them that view him as exactly that. There also seem to be some bad apple types that aren’t doing the things they should be.

And yes, Odom will be the coach next year. Come to grips with it. His seat will be flaming though. He won’t be allowed another disaster
