at 5-16 in the SEC? I don't follow baseball much, but a couple of friends who are diehards are convinced it's time for a change.

Time for him to go but damn they need to invest in baseball.

Do you think he'll counter with "well we swept TN" when he has his performance eval?

The University’s investment in baseball is pathetic. Not defending Bieser and quite frankly think he probably shouldn’t be retained, but the AD needs to seriously reevaluate the level of resources being given to the program.

Maybe if there were huge donations from fans to begin with otherwise, I would agree with you.

Did they suffer a lot of injuries since the Tenn series?

I wanted Bieser gone a year ago. Heck, we fired the coach of 19 or so years (Campbell maybe?) because he was middling, though I thought he did a decent job for what we put into baseball.
The best way to invest in baseball would be to give away free tickets (along with a free program and free hot dog and soda during the 4th-7th innings) to kids/families for a couple decades. Create a fanbase. Pull those families from as near and far as you can.

I am hoping for Mizzou a chance to play in the SEC tournament. If Mizzou wins 2 out of 3 or a sweep against UGA.

he should of been fired last season

when you take all the mu sports, and compare them to SEC schools, only Vandy is shittier as a whole, and they at least have a championship baseball contender .

No one really gives a shite about MU sports, or it would be better, from top to bottom. The fact that the sports department is this bad says more than enough of those in charge and those with spending cash to say they own this sport or that sport.

They donate millions and bra about owning shitty football teams and parking their Winnebago Out front of Faurot

Probably cuz they’re not firing him. If we’re not going to care about baseball, we shouldn’t waste any more resources on it.

Who will be the replacement. Does the "late" firing mean they were T'ing someone up?

Desiree better have a homerun hire AND announce a real monetary commitment to baseball or we might as well have stayed with Bieser cuz we'll be right back here in 5-7 years.

Weird. Who do you hire? We’re not going to suddenly compete.

Ship has probably sailed on Vitello. They blew that opportunity. Would Tingler go from mlb bench coach to sec head coach and come back to Mizzou? No idea who at the end of the day.

Mizzou also screwed up by building the new softball stadiums where baseball should have gone. I get it was a reward I guess but what has softball really done?
