Drink being mentioned by ESPN (more like pushed really) for the FSU job. Interesting.

His name was in the mix for most openings last year.

Then he didn’t win any games that mattered.

I’d guess that will dictate what happens, to some extent, this year as well.

They (ESPN) have always liked him. The Snark gives the talking heads something to work with I would guess.

On the cusp of this in 2026. If they get hammered Saturday, his agent's phone wont get much action.

For shits and giggles, does FSU come hard if we beat Texas?

At this point I honestly don't care.

He's very, very well paid. He either wants to be here or not. His call.

And just win some big games, baby.

His agent is constantly making sure his name is out there, Eli supplies the "I'm just focused on Texas" soundbite. If you combine both, Mizzou usually pays the Eli tax.

I could see Drink wanting to leave. We're stuck with TX, A&M and OU every year. Plus a UGA or Bama game and even with 24 teams in the CFP, Mizzou is in for a tough challenge.

The ACC is a much easier road.

He is smart enough to not take that job but if he takes it, fine with me. We aren't winning the SEC anytime soon with Drink here.

I’m in the same boat. I wouldn’t offer another dime to retain him if someone comes after him. I like him but not a fan of feeling like one foot is always out the door. I wish his play calling was as aggressive as his sound bites.
