You are assuming we don't grab another qb from the portal.

From my understanding, the Kennesaw state qb is on campus now.

You are correct but I gotta think that is a hard sell now unless the kid wants to play for peanuts.

One thing about the Kennesaw state kid is that outside of one conference game, he executed the offense and won. I wont be surprised if they give him enough money to come in and push Zollers and Simmons who both need a lot of work reading defenses and placing throws.

Yep. Right now I'd rather have the Kennesaw kid myself. There's gold in them small college hills.

is it worthwhile vs spending that $ elsewhere? Seems we have a lot of gaps to fill.

He's a high floor low ceiling option IMO. One thing is for certain, the staff cant afford to get that position wrong again.

Agree. But I want to say, I'm tired of hearing about "measurables", I want to see someone who has it between the ears.

From your mouth to God's ears. We haven't had intelligent and poised QB play for a long long time.

Kid supposedly is a true-life genius. Hope that translates to the game of football next season. He has to be better than "deer in the headlights" Pribula. Has to be.

Unfortunately, Eli keeps his hands on the balls.

SEC Unfiltered guys' take on Simmons

I was excited until they said he needs to work on accuracy and touch on the ball. Sounds like Mike Vick without the insane running ability. Oh well, hopefully the new OC knocks the rough edges off and Unfiltered's excitement is rewarded.

Simmons has some potential. Trinidad was a phenom that I don’t think even Lane expected to be that good.

I remember Simmons was thinking of going to UF but when Lagway came into the picture he went to Ole Miss instead. Even though he didn’t end up staying or playing many meaningful snaps as a starter there, he likely got great coaching under that staff and Drink could do some good things with this kid.

Drinkwitz hasn't done enough to show that Mizzou will be better this coming season with his team having the most difficult schedule coming this season.

If Zollers leaves it would be a HUGE mistake. He didn't show nearly enough for a decent program to consider him a starter. So he would be still a backup. Drink likes him, keep developing, Simmons could turnout to be injury prone.
