Putting Florida as a known verified loss shows how little you have been paying attention this offseason. Trash opinion

They have more talent, a better HC, and won with less last year. Bentley is as Jekyll/Hyde as it comes, and he's not progressed like Franks, despite having significantly more talent.

Forgive me if I don't think USC can hang.

Look, I know I'm a NegaCock. But 15 years of sunshine pumping finally did me in. Kick me off the island if you want.

SIX of their incoming 4 star Freshman have been disqualified from the team for grades - rape - rooming with a rapist.

NINE Players from last year that are not freshman have hit the transfer portal for various reasons, including 3 starters and a CB.

THIRTEEN Scholorship players left due to natural attrition (Draft/Seniors)

One of their starting veteren DLineman - 4* Conliffe just got injured for the season yesterday. 2 4* DLineman are among the group that transferred out, and their best DLineman Jefferson left the team.

Their secondary is RAZOR thin, and are one injury away from having to start a true freshman. Due to Steele leaving (he was supposed to start immediately) they had a WR move to the secondary and he OR a true freshman will be starting back there. Also among the transfers what a player that choked a lady and got kicked off the team last week.

OLine is VERY young and they are starting a 260lb Center.

Best unit on the team is the WRs by far and thats all I see as a solid unit.

So tell me again how they have more talent??? Their Offseason has been the largest shite show ive ever seen. So like i said. If you think Florida is an automatic loss, you have not been paying attention

I don't have to defend my fan knowledge/football bona fides to you. I hope to be wrong, but I've seen better Carolina teams than this one lose heartbreakers to worse UF teams than this one, too.

The structural gap between the two programs has narrowed, but it's still very much there.

Would it make you feel better if I put Mizzou in the guaranteed loss category, and UF in the close, but still a loss column?

Youve proven you dont know how good or bad this UF team is.

You clearly dont know the talent that we currently have

Mizzou in the guaranteed loss

Are you on drugs? The still have no defense, and KB is NOT anywhere CLOSE to the QB Lock was. They are a glorified Run team.

Sometimes you fans that are so emotional scarred from the past piss me off. You have the worst outlook just because of the past, which is understandable, except you are ignoring that the program is completely different now. Post spurrier, we have the top 10 facilities, which will always make us competitive. We have outstanding coaching right now positionally, and a lot to be excited about.

But hey, if you wanna be a sad sack who is pessimistic and sad all the time I wont stop you. I just hope you read into it a little more and realize its not all the doom and gloom you seem to think.

that's a helluva synopsis of the SS Merlins that's taking on swamp water by the day.

gators had 3 SEC wins by one score last season. they had 3 SEC losses by double digits - the worst being 21 points. they were characteristically more the team that had 3 bad losses than the one with 3 close wins - which included USC's aborted victory.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if UMiami beats the gators Saturday to begin 5 loss season for Merlins in year 2.

Seriously shut the frick up. I have been best friends with Royal Air for 15 years and you won't find a more loyal Gamecock fan. I can't stand "fans" like you, who think because we don't pump sunshine 24/7 we are less of a fan.

0 points in the last 6 quarters against football powerhouses Akron and UVA. Yeah, really optimistic.

I like to think we get a win in one of the 4 losses I picked, but obviously have no reasoning to pick one. Even if we were to get that lucky we'd have to pay the karma gods and lose one we shouldn't, so 8-4 regardless.

When I look at W/L preseason I look at what we did last year against a team and what each team gained and lost. To me, of the teams we beat last year TN is the only one I think that improves more than we do, but still don't see it being enough. I'd say Mizzou is the most likely to flip the script this year, mainly because of how close/lucky we were last year and we're at their hut. But I still think they lost too much to get us.

Of the teams we lost to last year, UGA A&M and clem still have too much talent and experience to beat without some serious breaks. Kentucky obviously loses a ton and hot dang we better break that ridiculous streak...

Florida is the best chance for us to end up 7-5. Personnel wise they lost a good bit at the end of the season and have had a nightmare offseason. We gave them last years game, and we get them at home this year. But they should get a decent mullen yr 2 bump, mainly on offense if that line holds up. But really our FL games lately have been kinda surprising, both good and bad. I think we get a good win here, hopefully ranked.

Assuming we stay healthy this season (knock on wood) we should see Champ's most talented team. Defense returns a bunch of experience & depth. Mix in some really good Fr. I haven't been this excited about our front 7 since early 2010s. Key here is just staying healthy in the secondary, can't afford to lose 1 or 24 this year.

The offense is going into year 2 with Bmac, so I'd expect another jump in production like last year. We haven't been able to run the ball consistently especially in the RZ & I think the reason Jake forced a bunch of turnovers in that part of the field. I think with the trio of backs we have now it'll take some pressure off Jake for sure. Heard from a bunch of different interviews how great Feaster has been catching out of the backfield. That will be a new weapon. Great stable of WRs. Really think Shi has a breakout year. Like our Oline. Think we have 6 or 7 guys who could play. Worried a little bit about TE position. I think you'll see more 3 WR 1 TE sets for sure now, but I like Markway. Has nice hands & can get open.

It's amazing to see what Champ & Co. have done with the roster in 4 years. We're not there yet, but this team was depleted of talent & depth when they arrived.

I think if you break the schedule up 8-4 w/ potentially 9 in bowl game looks really good & I'll take that all day.

vs UNC (Charlotte, neutral field) W
vs Charleston Southern W
vs Bama L
at Mizzou W
vs Kentucky W

Get to bye week 4-1

Open Week
at UGA L
vs Florida W

Split these two

at Tennessee L
vs Vandy W
vs App State W

Tough stretch to try & stay focused after UGA & FL.

at A&M W
Open Week
vs the sheep humping sister bangers L

Split. Think we're due against both of these teams, but I like our chances against A&M better.

FWIW

Some year SC will beat UK, just not sure this is it.

While UK did lose a lot, they may be more dangerous this year.

#1 They play best when disrespected and have a chip on their shoulder for not getting 1 poll vote
#2 Stoops does well with disrespected 3 stars
#3 Stoops has been unusually calm lately

If you watch him he get redder when worried or something is not working. So far I have not seen him more than pale or slightly pink the past few weeks. His calm demeanor make me think he knows he will be good this season.
