Here’s the template ...

vs UNC (Charlotte, neutral field)
vs Charleston Southern
vs Bama
at Mizzou
vs Kentucky
Open Week
at UGA
vs Florida
at Tennessee
vs Vandy
vs App State
at A&M
Open Week
vs the sheep humping sister bangers

So I am predicting 8-4 regular season as follows and I’ll begin by typing that I almost went with 9-3 because I believe there is a good chance we’ll knock off one of the three toughest on our schedule ... but then I figured if we did we would still lose to someone like Tennessee on the road so I decided to give myself some leeway there. At the same time it would not surprise me in the least if we beat A&M at their place this year. We’re just due in that one.

Damndest schedule I can ever remember. Plenty tough but so important that we are competitive in every game and never let a loss cost us other ballgames. How does mUSChamp say it, “don’t let getting beat cost you more than that one game,” or something like that?

Anyway, here goes ....

vs UNC (Charlotte, neutral field) - W
vs Charleston Southern - W
vs Bama - L
at Mizzou - W
vs Kentucky - W
Open Week
at UGA - L
vs Florida - W
at Tennessee - W
vs Vandy - W
vs App State - W
at A&M - L
Open Week
vs the sheep humping sister bangers - L

This team is plenty talented enough and deep enough to pull off 8-4 somehow, some way.

So much depends on Jake not turning the ball over this season and so much of that depends on us establishing a SEC caliber running game.

North Carolina got a bit easier, starting a true freshman at QB against us.

That's about all they have is it not? Or maybe it's two true freshman and one RSFr or something like that last I heard if I remember correctly.

We really need to throw a beatin' on the tarholios for several different valid reasons.

Because they are dicks.
Because of recruiting in their state.
Because they are douche bags.
Because it is a must win game this season.
Because they suck arse.
Because of the mentor vs student factor.
Because they are figs.
Because we need to cover the line by x2.
Because they are cheatin' hypocritical bastards.
Because we need to get the season off on the right foot.
Because they are assclowns.
Because we need to hush some of our pessimistic fans.

Biggest reason, based on things I’ve seen and read, state of NC has a huge class in 2021, recruiting ties are huge in Charlotte

Edit, I grew up somewhat partial to UNC, had one of my favorite uncles walk on to the football team. I understand the older generations hatred for them, I’m only 24 so I never saw a lot of the bitterness. I keep up with them outside of when they play us, they have a few rsfr and sophomores, their starter last year moved to linebacker and is projected to start.

I hate the TarHoles more than any team not named Clemson !

They are going to pay. And it’s gonna be a great win and a great season.

Cannot wait!!!!

Nice Lonnie!!!
Where in NC did you grow up?

I’m from Weddington!

But I’ll be fair, ECU is the worst
They’re like the coastal Carolina of Nc. Bunch of white trash, std filled Morons who end up working in pyramid schemes while they have 3 kids with 3 different women

I get that (spent some time in Raleigh after grad school), but growing up in western NC, there weren't that many in our neck of the woods.

Same Lonnie...I never dealt with many ECU grads growing up in Shelby. It was either NC State, Western, App St, and Gardner-Webb.

Going 4-1 in the month of September is incredibly crucial. If we dont do that we are in serious trouble. If we do get there, we just need one more win to get to 7-5 (plus vandy and app state). 7-5 is what I would consider a pretty good season this year. Anything above that and Muschamp should get a statue.

ETA: I think we are incredibly capable of more than 7 wins but with the schedule and our history of injuries plus natural attrition, I struggle to predict anything higher. With Clemson or VT's schedule we win 10 no problem

7-5 or 8-4. I think aTm might be beat up by the time y'all get there and maybe...
I think you might have a shot at Florida if your D is strong and your OL can protect Jake. I leaning (and hoping) that you hang a loss on the Lizards.

Imho that UF game is going to hinge, a lot, on how we do in Athens. We have to be competitive and physical in Athens and especially we have to come out of that game relatively healthy.

If we go into the UF game with confidence we will beat them.

The A&M game is so iffy. Why they have had our number I do not know. It's more mental than anything imho. But again, that game will all depend upon how much confidence we have going in there and how healthy we are.

Known, bona fide, guaranteed losses: Bama, Kentucky, UGA, UF, aTm, Clemson.
Close games, but likely losses: Mizzou, UTk

Rain your downvotes upon me. I'm not trolling, I really just don't have faith in this year's team, at all.

Putting Florida as a known verified loss shows how little you have been paying attention this offseason. Trash opinion

I think 7-5 sounds about right, maybe we can win at Mizzou but I have a feeling that we play Bama fairly tight and it drains us, setting us up for a flat performance on the road the following week. I think Florida is overrated and we should have beaten them on the road last year, and for some reason we just can't find a way to beat the Aggies. Hopefully 8-5 with a solid bowl win, I would take that gladly.
