Rumors we open 2016 in ATL against FSU

Supposedly it was talked about on ESPN today, not sure how valid it is. It would be weird to play a neutral site game in even number years because thats when we have to go to Clemson.
Other than only getting 6 home games that season I'd be pretty excited to see this happen. By 2016 we could have a Rabbits package with Blackshear, BAW, Arden Key, and English

It would be neat to start and end the season with the two best teams in the ACC. And we owe them from the last time we played them in Atlanta anyway...

I didn't watch but apparently they were saying that it should be announced soon.

As much as I prefer home and homes to these 1 time neutral sites I think we've waited long enough to get in on that kick off game in ATL, especially given the proximity.
eta: Don't we still have games vs UNC and ECU in Charlotte upcoming soon? Which years are those?

15. UNC replaced ecu, not sure if we're rescheduling that or not.
And I agree I prefer home and home series, but I want in on the chickfila kickoff.

It's the same rumor talk over there as over here. Most everyone there is really excited about it. A lot of people believe that in order to be the man, we gotta beat the man.
I believe in '16 we'll be the strongest we've been since '12, but I think we'll be even stronger.
Mitch will have had a year under his belt as a starter.
We'll have 3 good RB's with experience (Williams, Denson, Turner and the '16 stud we are going to pickup.)
We'll have 4-5 solid WR's (Cooper, Davidson, Googer, Samuel, and then the '15 guys like Christian/Neal/Bowman.)
We'll have Turner and Blue at FB
At TE we'll have Crosby and Issac Natua (calling it now.)
Our OL will be filled with Jr's, RSJr's and Sr's (Both Stadniks, Waldrop, Rodgers, Park, Stanley, Palmer, Zandi, and then the other '15 class guys...we'll have a stacked 2 Deep.)
Our DL is going to be the best in the nation. (Lewis, Blackshear, Key, Sawyer, English, Dixon, Green, Griffen, McClain, maybe Lamin.
Our LB Corp is going to the best in the SEC. Skai will probably go Pro early, but we'll have Walton, Bryant, BAW, Pittman, Durant, Diggs, Holloman, and Roberts.
Our DB's will be again a top performing DB group in the nation. All the young guys this year will have 2+ years of experience under their belt. Green, Lammons, DJ Smith, Elder, McWilliams, Jamari Smith, Groves, Harris, Moody.
Fry will be a Sr. We just need to find a f**king punter....

Your post reminds me of what I was typing two years ago about this year.
I hope we're both right ... I hope we're both right. I hope we are actually in reloading mode now and that we've reached the point, beginning this year, when we should be competitive, vying for championships, every year.

I know it was a 5 game series we signed with them. We have 1 @ECU and 1 more in Charlotte after this year.

We'll have to play that game up there.
It was part of a 3-1-1 deal and it would cost us a bundle to pay our way out of it.
