This game was the culmination of a season where serious flaws with our coaches and their abilities were gradually exposed.

I’m tired of hearing excuses for Muschamp. Our readiness, our playcalling, and our determination was non-existent today, and we were utterly embarrassed. I’d honestly be surprised if any recruits that were on the fence with us ultimately sign with SC.

This isn’t a melt, either. It’s reality. We have the toughest schedule in the country next year and there are no obvious changes that can be made that would turn things around by then. There is no Roper to place blame on this time. It’s going to be bad.

And before anyone mentions it, we had a decent season following up the Papa Johns Bowl in 2010, but our rivals weren’t the best teams in the country back then. The East was also weaker. That won’t be the case in 2019.

If any SC fan who feels optimistic about our future watched our game today, then continued to honestly feel confidence in our program, is insane. We’re not building anything special here. It’s not going to happen under Muschamp, and it’s most certainly not going to happen under Tanner.

The team that lost the Papa Johns bowl was FAR more talented than this team
Even with that season, you saw NFL talent.
I see one guy as NFL talent right now on this team

#3 is dead on.
He shouldn't have been allowed to travel. He made a business decision, SC should have as well. Seems like I remember a coach (holtz?) That wouldn't let injured players travel.

I did not realize he was playing in SR bowl. I won't be defending him anymore.

Not Fenton. Fenton already said he wanted to play and practiced all week Fenton also isn’t even close to sniffing a practice squad. And you know what, he probably could pay the tuition but he won’t. I’m telling you this, as more and more of these kids get talented , they’re looking at college as a stepping stone to the NFL, not about beating rivals etc. they’re caring about become professional football players
Really ??? When I was at Carolina I was also concerned about my professional life after school. I think that would be the "smart" thing to do. If a kid has a ticket to the NFL then he should protect that ticket. It's a damn lottery ticket. He gave his time to the team and to get hurt in a meaningless bowl game would be idiotic at best. You guys look at things in the most idiotic way. These kids have a whole life ahead of them and this is just a bowl game. Deebo gave it his all and now you want to trash him....wow !!!!!!

We are being left behind while both Georgia and Clemson thrive. Maybe one of the worst times to root for USC outside of 1998-99.

He shouldn't be playing in the senior bowl then. A lot less meaning to that game than the belk bowl.

And frick Fenton. Never liked him, especially after he showed what an arse and idiot he is during the Missouri game this year. Now he's shown he is a coward too.

And what decision is that? Yeah, you were by far the best player on our team for years and the reason we won half the damn games we did under Muschamp, but if you won't play in a bowl game vs two 7-5 teams after already breaking your leg once than frick you!

What kind of message does that send to future college studs who will surely sit out bowl games down the road? Jesus guys, without Deebo we probably aren't even in a bowl game for him to skip.

He decided to not play in the bowl game, but will play in the SB. Telling the kid he has to stay home isn't really that big of a deal.

Yeah, I'm not spurning a guy who had a career and injury like Deebo by telling him he has to play or stay away from the freakin' Belk Bowl.

Again, if SC's offense had clicked or even if we had won in a defensive struggle, I doubt anyone on here would've cared that he was there.

You don't have to give him an ultimatum. He made the decision not to play, therefore it's the team's prerogative to tell him that's cool, but you can't travel with the team.

It's worse. Clemson went 3-8 in 1998 with Tommy West and 6-5 with Tommy Bowden in 1999 and UGA wasn't going anywhere with Jim Donnan. The gap is wider now than it was then.

Uhhh jumpstart wtf are you talking about?
I’m on Deebos side.

Think you quoted wrong person

I was just saying more and more will start to do this.

I just don’t agree with Fenton because he doesn’t have a shot in hell at the NFL. What he did was just being pissed that the team sucks and quit

Why is everyone going off on Deebo? If you think he would have made that much of a difference then what the hell are we going to do next season?

That was a tough one for yins. Teams occasionally lay an egg and I think that’s really what it was. Hoping my Tigers can avoid that type of effort.

You’ve got a great QB prospect coming in and I do think the future is bright.

I am not.
I support Deebo's decision.

Fenton's wasn't "i'm stopping mid game because I want to preserve my NFL talent" He ain't an NFL talent.

This.

And Florida looks to be back and running.

We wasted some precious time.

With our season this year, I actually think Deebo sitting was a better move for the team on a national view than the bowl game.

Hey look we ACTUALLY have a prospect talented enough that can do that. That's all the talk we got, whether it be good or bad, it's been a huge topic all over college football.

I think it's good. Shows recruits that we've actually recruited players good enough that they are able to make this decision and play at the next level .
