Playing a "neutral" game against Clemson in Greenville would be like us playing Clemson in Lugoff and calling it neutral.

Isn't the " neutral " game played at the new minor league stadium in Columbia next year?

I saw us and clemson are both top 5 in the nation at Home runs at this point in the season and averaging 2 a game (which is wild in itself) should be a close one this weekend.

Hate how the first two are both home or 15 min out from Clemson. Kinda bullshite. The 3 game if anything should be the "neutral" location.

Or just take the neutral game to Charleston. That would be cool to get the whole state involved.

2020 and 2022 the " neutral " game is played at Spirit Communications Park. Think tiger fans won't be bitching about that? Thats 3 minutes from our home stadium.

Charleston or Myrtle Beach could be the area for the 3rd game.

In that case we need to heavily bitch about it this year so theyll remember how upset weve been in the past. lol

Meh. Just because it’s close to a Clemson hardly means anything. Aren’t the Greenville games generally a 50/50 crowd split? I mean where else are you going to put it that’s “geographically even” between Columbia and Pickens?

I would say you're right about the 50/50 split in Greenville.

Love how neutral next years location is.

Sunday game in Columbia moved up to Noon start / weather related.

chance of rain Friday night and Sunday game could rain out.

I hope Kingston starts Morgan on Saturday in Greenville. we need him a guaranteed appearance this weekend, and Sunday's forecast is not good.

move Harley to Sunday at Founders in front of the home crowd and Mlodzinski - who's already been through one of these weekends in a Gamecock uniform - start up at the Hee Haw Corral game 1.

I totally agree with this. If the 3rd game ends up not being played I too want Morgan pitching Saturday.

I think Morgan has been our best pitcher so far this year, so moving him to Saturday makes sense.

And for the poster who asked about it being a 50/50 split in Greenville - its close, but still leans a little towards Clemson. I have gone to the Greenville game three or four times, and I always feel like we are outnumbered.

Wow what a game. Gamecocks 5 clempson 4.

Looked like it was going to be a offensive explosion until both bullpens shut it down.

Need this series.

We really benefited from the Clemson starter, who struggled to start the game. They quickly replaced him with Clark, and he was shutting us down with off-speed junk, and killed whatever offensive momentum we established.

Mlodzinski again struggled mightily with locating his pitches in the strike zone. But our bullpen was really strong - they are turning into a definite strength for us this season early on. Hopefully that continues.

Final good thing about tonight: the Clemson fans got to see another Clemson Tigers loss to the Gamecocks in Doug Kingsmore. That will never get old...

thank you Conway - they will act like it never happened but the reality it USC has stomped their shite in the dirt in that fricked up warning track of a cow pasture more times more often than not in the past 20 years.... Burn it down. .

Let's own Greenville on Saturday.

One bad thing about tonight: The past 3 seasons, we've won the first game of the series, then lost the series. NEED to stop that streak, starting tomorrow.....

Another bad thing about tonight: Friday starting pitcher Carmen Mlodzinski reportedly has a broken foot. Don't know if it's official, but it would have to be one thinks, if they are reporting it.

Carmen was struggling thus far this season, but he was still an able arm with experience that I was hoping would improve his location as the season went along. Wasn't the best option as the Friday starter, but could still pitch during the weekend. Now we'll have to shift the pitching corps around and find a new 3rd pitcher for the season.

Carmen might be able to make it back this season depending on how a break it is, but it'll be a while....

The past 3 seasons we also had a dominant Friday night starter thus year we have a dominant bullpen.
