Why can't Sopsher and Tim Smith get on the field?

Surely they are at least as good as the defensive linemen ahead of them.

I’m guessing they just aren’t. I mean remember how thin we were last year and Sopsher ended up redshirting when we barely had enough healthy bodies in some games.

I saw #98 Jamil Burroughs on the d-line in the 2nd half.

am i the only one that thinks our substitution patterns have changed? to me, it seems we've went, even moreso, to a pro style substitution pattern. not subing the young guys in last year put us behind in the db's this year. now its like we arent subing hardly anybody. even with the rb's. for years we subed liberally except with henry. najee is good but he aint henry. yet brob is watching a lot from the sidelines this year. way more than i expected. maybe i'm just imagining things?

Najee is considerably better than Robinson plus he gives you a really good receiver. No offense to Robinson, but I feel like there’s a bigger gap between he and Harris than we have between the top two in most years.

That and we all thought this was going to be Trey Sanders coming out year. I'm sure he will be really good but it wont be this year

Najee is a complete back and a first round pick. Brian Robinson is an average runner that's good for a change of pace. This isn't a situation like Jacobs/Najee/Harris where we had three great backs.

I like how dark is using waddle with short screens and slants to make up for not having that 3rd change of speed running back

Yea want to see them get some time especially with the talk of Sopsher during camp ... sitting on sideline for two years has got to be frustrating , I can see him and Wynn hitting the portal

In fairness to Robinson, they did show Saturday why Sark loves to use Najee so much. He's really perfect for the scheme we are using. And his threat to catch the ball on wheel routes and check-downs are real. Robinson is a good back and it's a long season.

This makes absolutely no sense at all!

I was pleased with our Dline play on Saturday. They were disruptive. The pass rush still wasn't great, but it was better, especially in the 2nd half.

Most of UGA's big run plays were because the MLB was absent from the gaps that they were supposed to be filling

What the hell is up with Moses?? Is he just still playing scared because of his knee or is he really just not intelligent enough to know where to be and when??

I hate to criticize individual players really bc I know they are doing the best they can and our laying it on the line for the Tide but I wonder if he might be better suited for OLB right now . He is lost on filling gaps , blitzing , reading the play and just doesn’t seem to have a feel for the position right now at all. It is hurting his draft stock and our D tremendously

I guess the silver lining is that he has an additional year of eligibility to keep learning, improving, and rehabbing his draft stock due to Covid
